"cuts"
I loved everything about this book. It's dark and unhappy but told beautifully. I felt like I could step into Camille's shoes and really understand her.
While many will find this book too creepy or morbid, I think it speaks to the real truths of the nasty things that happen in the world and their consequences.
As a side, if you're a cutter, this book may trigger you.
"I want to have lunch with Christopher Moore"
Chris Moore rocks my world and frequently makes me expel beverages through my nose. The man is hilarious!
I loved BLOOD SUCKING FIENDS. I love YOU SUCK even more. The addition of Abby Normal made this for me. And the narration is better then spot-on! Just finished this and I'm on to the third installment, BITE ME: A LOVE STORY.
"Brrrr... that's scary!"
THE scariest book in the history of the planet. Blatty's reading is spine tingling. I get chills just thinking about it...
"Top five ever!"
I love this book so much. It's the only audio I've listened to more than twice. A fantastic, believable piece of fiction. It's the very first book I recommend to anyone and everyone who asks. Hell, I recommend it to people who don't ask. This one is damn near perfect!
"I'm so divided on this one..."
I loved the story. Thought it was well told, even. But I hate every character in it. I couldn't relate to them. I know a lot of people who really loved everything about this book. I just couldn't dig the folks living in it...
"Why he's the King..."
I wish I could give this story ten stars! Masterful, suspenseful story telling. The man knows how to put words together!
"wow"
I've never written a review on audible before and I've listened to countless books. I felt that I needed to on this one.
The story itself made me sick, sad and at times disgusted with myself for continuing to listen. I couldn't put it away though. It's like a car accident on the side of the road. You just have to see if somebody's ended up a bloody mess.
This book was written with a viscious, foul and truthful voice. It's painful to think of a helpless child in this type of predicament and it's sickening to hear the thoughts of the predator but I think it's a necessary story. I think there are far too many people in the world who don't realize the horrors that await children around every corner.
