Art critic Jeremy Grove is found dead, his face frozen in a mask of terror. His body temperature is grotesquely high; he is discovered in a room barricaded from the inside; the smell of brimstone is everywhere... and the unmistakable imprint of a claw is burned into the wall. As more bodies are discovered - their only connection the bizarre but identical manner of death - the world begins to wonder if the Devil has, in fact, come to collect his due.

Lannette says: "Simply another great Pendergast novel."

If you could sum up Brimstone in three words, what would they be?

The story was well thought out and did not disappoint. Very suspenseful and gotta love Scott Brick for a wonderful narration. I can't wait to listen to the rest of the Pendergast series.

Always leave a little salt on the bread. Ikey Solomon's favorite saying is also his way of doing business, and in the business of thieving he's very successful indeed. Ikey's partner in crime is his mistress, the forthright Mary Abacus, until misfortune befalls them. They are parted and each must make the harsh journey from thriving nineteenth century London to the convict settlement of Van Diemen's Land.

For months, Mitch Rapp has been steadily working his way through a list of men, bullet by bullet. With each kill, the tangled network of monsters responsible for the slaughter of 270 civilians becomes increasingly clear. He is given his next target: a plump Libyan diplomat who is prone to drink and is currently in Paris without a single bodyguard. Rapp finds him completely unprotected and asleep in his bed. With confidence in his well-honed skills and conviction of the man’s guilt, he easily sends a bullet into the man’s skull. But in the split second it takes the bullet to leave the silenced pistol, everything changes.

Linda says: "I'd listen to Guidall read the tax code, so..."

    Any additional comments?

Listened to this one out of sequence but loved the others in the series and found that it didn't matter. I couldn't put this one down and may enjoyed this one! George Guidall did a great job in presenting!

Long hailed as the grand master of adventure fiction, Clive Cussler has continued to astound with the intricate plotting and astonishing set pieces of his novels. Now, with a surprising twist, he gives us his most audacious work yet.

If you???ve listened to books by Clive Cussler before, how does this one compare?

Great story but a little too predictable than normal for Cussler. Overall it was a good book though and Scott Brick does a great job presenting it as with the other Clive Cussler novels.
