Top cybersecurity journalist Kim Zetter tells the story behind the virus that sabotaged Iran’s nuclear efforts and shows how its existence has ushered in a new age of warfare - one in which a digital attack can have the same destructive capability as a megaton bomb.

If you can sleep well after reading this then you really don't understand the implications behind this. I had previously seen the demonstration of destroying a large generator by strictly software means. This makes gives it more real

NASA discovered the alien ship lurking in the asteroid belt in the 1960's. They kept the Target under intense surveillance for decades, letting the public believe they were exploring the solar system, while they worked feverishly to refine the technology needed to reach it. Dr. Jane Holloway is content documenting nearly-extinct languages and had never contemplated becoming an astronaut. But when NASA recruits her to join a team of military scientists for an expedition to the Target, it's an adventure she can't refuse.

Starts off a lot like Arthur C Clarke Rama. Then go to another direction. Light on the technical details and more involved with relationships.

  • Fleet of Worlds: 200 Years Before the Discovery of the Ringworld

Fleet of Worlds takes a closer look at Human-Puppeteer (Citizen) relations and the events leading up to Niven's first Ringworld novel. Kirsten Quinn-Kovacks is among the best and brightest of her people. She gratefully serves the gentle race that rescued her ancestors from a dying starship, gave them a world, and nurtures them still. If only the Citizens knew where Kirsten's people came from.

Fills in some of the gaps from Crashlander and other Niven Known Space stories. A bit slow and less complex than I am used to. Only reason I gave it 4 stars was the fact that it exists - first Known Space thing I have seen in a while.
