Atticus O’Sullivan, last of the Druids, lives peacefully in Arizona, running an occult bookshop and shape-shifting in his spare time to hunt with his Irish wolfhound. His neighbors and customers think that this handsome, tattooed Irish dude is about twenty-one years old - when in actuality, he’s twenty-one centuries old. Not to mention: He draws his power from the earth, possesses a sharp wit, and wields an even sharper magical sword known as Fragarach, the Answerer. Unfortunately, a very angry Celtic god wants that sword, and he’s hounded Atticus for centuries....

Would you listen to Hounded again? Why?

If I did it would only be to try understand more detail. This book makes you feel like the author did their homework, but to me it was too much detail and not enough personality. However, that is a personal preference that I like the story to be more about the character as an individual than the main focus to be on the circumstances. My favorite thing was the voice actor, he was wonderful with the accent and the different characters.

Would you be willing to try another book from Kevin Hearne? Why or why not?

It goes back to the first question in which I prefer a different style of writing.

Which character – as performed by Luke Daniels – was your favorite?

The dog for sure. He was the funniest character in the book and his personality came through loud and clear. A lot of the story felt like it was complicating itself more than need be, but this character - much like all dogs truly are - was a simple straight character just there to bring a smile.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, while I did not have an oppertunity to listen to it all at once I do not think I could make it through straight. While I did like the character it felt long and drawn out in sections.

What made the experience of listening to Halfway to the Grave the most enjoyable?

The build of the characters with Bones and Cat. They really are complex characters and as you get to know them you get to understand their reasoning.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Cat. I feel like I've been in her place a few times and she's a great relatable character - even though it's a fantasy genre.

Which character – as performed by Tavia Gilbert – was your favorite?

Bones. The accent threw me off at first, but now I can't imagine anything else for him.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The humor Bones had and a few of Cats bone headed reactions made me laugh.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

It has a different feeling from the traditional romance novels. I love the main character for her quick wit and loyalty.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Never Seduce a Scot?

When everyone finally understood why she had not talked for 3 years.

    Which scene was your favorite?

When she got back on the horse to save him.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I laughed a lot when she was not talking. She was so firey that I loved to see how she would try to get her point across.

    Any additional comments?

The only thing that really confused me is the girl on the cover is a brunette, but then they describe her as a blonde. Though I do prefer this cover to the one that is on the actual hard copy book.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

The story line is really cute with the childhood hatred of each other. I actually did have a friend read it and she too knew what was going to happen at the end within the first few chapters, but we still liked it as a fluff novel.

    Any additional comments?

The one part where the performer starts screeching trying to convey emotion was just awful. I get there was supposed to be a lot of emotion, but when it's right in your ear it's just annoying.

If you could sum up A Discovery of Witches in three words, what would they be?

    Detailed, compelling, intriguing.

What other book might you compare A Discovery of Witches to and why?

I think it takes its backbones from the grand daddy of them all Romeo and Juliet. It's a classic two people are attracted to each other who shouldn't be and everything gets complicated because of that. However, the supernatural elements and the way the author mixes in numerous historical moments make it completely unique.

What does Jennifer Ikeda bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The French accent was so well done when he got mad. It made me laugh out loud and she was just great at doing emotions.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Ususally with long books I tend to drift in and out and lose interest. This one always made me want to keep listening. I was hooked.

Would you consider the audio edition of In Bed with the Devil to be better than the print version?

I have never read the print version, but I did like the performance since she made the voices very distinct.

What other book might you compare In Bed with the Devil to and why?

Then Came You. It had simliar time settings and had the girls trying to hide something.

What does Susan Ericksen and Antony Ferguson bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Yes, I liked having a different narrator for the letters. Only thing that would have made it better is if he would have voiced him throughout the entire book since that's the voice that is introduced in the very begining.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Towards the end I didn't want to stop listening.

Where does The Maze Runner rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Towards the top. It was a great mixture of mystery, but really did a great job of introducing all the characters so you actually cared when something bad happened. It really made me want to keep reading the series.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Maze Runner?

At the end when they come out of the maze and you think the book is over, but you realize the series is anything but done.

Thomas the main character. He is a very complex character and I think that Mark did a great job of showing his different emotions.
