As a devastating hurricane approaches, as the benighted creations of Victor Helios begin to spin out of control, as New Orleans descends into chaos and the future of humanity hangs in the balance, the only hope rests with Victor's first, failed attempt to build the perfect human. Deucalion's centuries-old history began as the original manifestation of a soulless vision and it is fated to end in the ultimate confrontation between a damned creature and his mad creator.

I just finished book three of the series and for the first time bought extra credits to keep downloading the rest of the books. Dean Koontz is a master at what he does, a true genius of the written world, and very, very addicting. "Kudos to Kootz" xoxoxo

Jack is an author who was on his way to literary success when his life was blown apart by the horrific suicide of his fiancee. Devastated, Jack went on a fifteen-month alcoholic spiral into near oblivion before eventually working past his demons and becoming best-selling crime novelist. Just as Jack is finishing his fourth book, the LAPD interrupts his routine with news of what appears to be a copycat murder from his first book. There's just one problem - the murder took place before Jack's book was published.

Drawn together by loneliness, the unlikely pair forms a deep connection that ends in a shattering act of betrayal. In the present... On a cold January morning in London, Detective Inspector Gemma James is back on the job....

First time I buy a book based on the listeners page reviews and what a dissapointment. This book is torture and the characters are boring me to the point that I can't even finish the book.

She's young. She's beautiful. And her corpse, laid out in the office of Boston medical examiner Cat Novak, betrays no secrets - except for a notebook clutched in one stiff hand, seven numbers scrawled inside. When a second victim is discovered, Cat begins to fear that a serial killer is stalking the city streets: a shadowy madman without mercy or apparent motive. The police are sceptical. The mayor won't listen. And Cat's chief suspect is one of the city's most prominent citizens.
