This is hard to fathom that this is Andrew Peterson's first foray into the thriller genre. Dick Hill does a great job of bringing all characters to life. Make this a character revelation to look forward to!
The adventures of Atticus seem to be almost superhuman. The amount of physical abuse he takes makes the story rather implausible. But the intensity of the human trafficking elements make you want to find out more. It was a roller coaster ride that I couldn't stop listening to. Looking forward to the next novel.
I'm a Nelson DeMille fan. At about 1/3 the way through I thought - where is this book going? No real plot - only reminiscing about the past. But I got caught up in the story and laughed out loud in many places. I could really relate to John Sutter and his wacky friends and family. Looking forward to the next DeMille creation.
