The vampires of Asheville, North Carolina, want to establish their own clan, but since they owe loyalty to the Master Vampire of New Orleans, they must work out the terms with him. To come up with an equitable solution, he sends an envoy with the best bodyguard blood money can buy: skinwalker Jane Yellowrock. But when a group of local campers are attacked by something fanged, Jane goes from escort to investigator. Is it a rogue-vampire, shapechanger, or witch? Or something else magical?

Is there anything you would change about this book?

    The book was entertaining.

Who was your favorite character and why?

The main character, Ellie, is spunky and mysterious.

What didn’t you like about Stephanie Riggio’s performance?

Stephanie Riggio speaks in a stilted manner and mispronounces words. The audiobook is also porely produced. There is no spacing between scenes or chapters creating a bizzare breathless run-on feel to the book.

Could you see Lord of the Fading Lands being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

    No idea.

    Any additional comments?

I look forward to listening to other books by this author with a different narrator.
