"A Fantasy for all Ages"
A friend of my seventeen yr old son suggested this story to me, and how very pleased I am that he did. As in Harry Potter, this is a fantasy story for all ages. Vibrant with deatail, I could so easily imagine walking amongst the bustling lanes of this exotic setting. As a huge fan of scifi/fantasy, it was actually very nice to find myself away from the typical setting of castles, Elves and the numerous array of usuall characters found within a fantasy story. Very likeable characters, with plenty of intrigue, adventure and just enough magic as not to overwhelm the story.. I can highly suggest this to any fan of fantasy of all ages..
"A Maberry Thrill Ride!"
Do you enjoy edge of your seat action? Endless intrigue in a world of cloak and dagger? And just enough tragic romance to wet the apitite? If yes then by all means buckle up and take another Maberry thrill ride in this third of the Joe ledger novels and you will not be disapointed! From plot to performance the Ledger novels have rocketed to my top fav list, this series was without a doubt worth the cred.
"Wonderfully Dark!"
Wonderfully dark, bloody, sexy and enough sword play to make even the most die hard fans of the Fantasy genre shiver with ecstasy. Perhaps the narrator wasn't quite as wonderful as the story, in fact he is the reason I only gave Best Served Cold a rating of 4 out of five, never the less I found his shift from character to character an inviting delve into the dark world of this blood thirsty adventure. I do agree with the previous comment, parents be warned; this is definitely not a book for younger readers. Please Audible, more titles from this author as well along these lines of hard core fantasy adventure!
"A Credit up in Flames!"
I am a far cry from an expert book critic, and dearly love the zombie, pull you into a cold shadowy grave lover as the next gore fan. But this book became almost impossible to get through without wanting to toss it into that same shadowy grave and fill in the hole.. Honestly save your credit, there are just to many other wonderful books to use the credits for
