"I wish I read this 20 years ago.."
Touches on many areas that have been a challenge for me as a manager and business professional. Well written and narrated (narrator is not the author); also well researched touching on eastern and western philosophies and approaches to meditation. Describes many situations that are common in every day life and work - getting cut off by another car while driving your kids to soccer practice. Do you react? Elephant. Do you let it go? Executive.
The concept of watching your own thoughts, almost as if a 3rd party, was the most memorable moment. Since hearing that concept I have done this regularly - and it works. It works all the time. This is not a pure conceptual book, it has exercises that the author encourages the reader to practice, immediately.
No. Good narrator. A little too emphatic at times, but overall very good.
I've listened end-to-end twice so far and will again.
"Best so far..."
There is a teaching pattern. The focus is not on memorization but on the structure of the language so that you could start to come up with your own sentences. You learn vocabulary as a by-product.

Not yet, just downloaded #2
Not really for that. I listed to one CD at a time in my morning commute. This download has 4 CDs. The tempo of the teaching picks up as you progress. So far I've gone through twice.
Excellent tool for the cost. Better than "Learn In Your Car" material.
"Good content, poorly read"
This is an interesting book for the content. However, it is better to read this book than to listen to it. This book is poorly read by the author who is overly expressive and frequently raises his voice to a squeak.
"What happens next...?"
I enjoyed 'The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo'. While Mikhail Bloomquist was a typical hero, his partner, Elizabeth Salendar, was not. She was unusual, brilliant and tough. The story seemed fresh to me, perhaps because it was focused completely on Sweden, a break from American based stories - and referred to various parts of Sweden frequently outside of Stockholm. The story was also well read.
I was disappointed the book did not continue, what's Elizabeth doing now?
