"The Best of Ben Coes so far"
I have listened to all 3 of his books and this is the best by far. What I found in the first was the entire story was marginal at best. The second book was a good story but for some reason he introduced a 36 hour time line to get from Australia to Pakistan and then overthrow the President of Pakistan. Not very realistic. This book was again a good story but again strayed into the unrealistic catagory. I won't give the story away but I think you will see my point when Dewey finally accomplishes his mission. I like Coes and think there is some good reading potential here but he needs to work on his realism a bit more.
The narrator was excellent. His ability to change tones in his voice was very enjoyable.
Cole in the Iranian prison.
Unrealistic conclusion.
"The Absolute Worst Narration Ever!!"
I could not get into this book at all. The story seemed interesting but the narrator was terrible. He seemed to end each sentence in a whisper as if he were reading the book to someone who was trying to doze off for the night. He was entirely too dramatic with every sentence. The narration completely spoiled this book and I did not finish it.
Picked a different narrator
I have listened to Brick before but this seemed to be completely different. Not a good listen at all.
"Just Plain Boring"
A better story line
More interesting character flow. I could not finish the book
Too dramatic when drama wasn't appropriate
Disappointment
I couldn't finish the book. It was just boring.
"I can't believe I am saying "Not One Of His Best""
Yes. I love Vince Flynn books and Mitch Rapp is my favorite. George Guidall is one of the best.
The return of Stan Hurley. I think it is a mistake for Flynn to write him out of the storyline. He is one of the more interesting characters and brings life to Mitch Rapps character.
Stan Hurley
No. The book really didn't flow very well and other than Mitch Rapp and Stan Hurley had no interesting characters. This is the first book by Flynn that I have not rated as 5 Stars.
Fictional characters do not have to age on the same time line as we all do. It appears that Flynn is trying to age Hurley and Rapp out and create a new character. Remember that story about the goose and the golden egg. Sometime it is better to slow the age process and continue along with the creative storyline we all enjoy.
"What happened to a good story?"
This book started out as a teriffic book in part one. When part two rolled around it introduced useless characters who brought such an unrealistic story line I wanted to stop listening. I like the main character but Baldacci needs to work on a more believeable plot for him.
Cut the One Star General character. That story line is totally unbelieveable. No one with one minute of Military Service would believe this story line. This character along with the Columbian police lady totally ruined the story for me. Puller should be investigating military crimes not civilian crimes where he has no jurisdiction.
Puller rescue of the girl and her brothers from the 4 attackers.
Only the first half. Had I not invested so much time I would have stopped listening after the introduction of the General into the story. What a farce!
"Rosenfelt Does It Again"
One of the better listens in a long time. Andy Carpenter moves from defending dogs to actually defending a person. Great twists and turns with the normal humor and sarcastic comments from Carpenter. Grover Gardner is superb in his narration.
Andy Carpenter. I love his simple outlook on life and his easy going style. His humor keeps the book light and enjoyable.
Gardner is the best. His presentation of each character is right on and he presents the book in an easy to follow style.
I loved the twist at the end of the trial. I won't give it away but it is something you don't normally find in this type book.
Loved it and can't get enough of Rosenfelt.
"Excellent Story"
Very good. It was not up to Flynn or Thor standards but I enjoyed the story.
When Dewey kills the terrorist on the plane.
Excellent ability to alter his voice for characters.
No. It was good but took some time getting into it.
The time frames for the Coup were unrealistic and could not be carried out in real life.
"Boring and Plotless"
I was excited to download the latest Coben book. As I started I noted the book shifted around between characters quite frequently, however, I assumed they would be tied together quickly. This never happened for me. I was totally bored and did not finish the book. This is the first book I have downloaded that I failed to finish. Save your credit.
Yes

"It Could Have Been A Documentary"
First the plot makes no sense. The U.S. courts free only 4 prisoners and they just happen to be the most dangerous in the world. What happened to all the other terrorists? The hero is the most inept Seal in any story I've listened to. He had these terrorists in his sights multiple times but chose to do nothing. I don't want to give the story away, but instead of trying to take the terrorists out at a remote location, he allows them to proceed to a populated area before taking any action. Terrible writing.
Not from this genre, just from this author and narrator.
I think he is the same guy who narrates the struggle of the Water Buffalo on the Savannah. Terrible.
Dissappointment. I don't understand how others could rate this book as high as they did. I bought it on ratings and am very disappointed.

"Been There Done That"
If you are a total Vince Flynn fan as I am, I don't think you will find this one that interesting. Having read all Flynn's Mitch Rapp series, I found this book boring simply beause it rehashed a lot of material from earlier books. Quite a few of the characters in this book were written out in earlier books. I really never quite grasped the 'why's
New thoughts, new characters.
Victors killing of the CIA agents.
No
Maybe a Rapp trainee working with the 'great one
