I think this is the best of the 4 books. Not quite as creepy and more about the characters relationship. I can't wait for the next book!!!

Repressed scholar Percival Endicott Whyborne has two skills: reading dead languages and hiding in his office at the Ladysmith Museum. After the tragic death of the friend he secretly loved, he's ruthlessly suppressed any desire for another man. So when handsome ex-Pinkerton Griffin Flaherty approaches him to translate a mysterious book, Whyborne wants to finish the job and get rid of the detective as quickly as possible. Griffin left the Pinkertons following the death of his partner, hoping to start a new life. But the powerful cult that murdered Glenn has taken root in Widdershins, and only the spells in the book can stop them.

I'm not interested in fantasy. It might have been a good book but I can't get past that. Unfortunately I have tried to return it through Audible but for some reason, they won't take it back. I gave the narrator 3 stars because I really have no opinion. I couldn't get through the book.

His Denver business, A to Z Video Rental, is struggling. He has annoying customers, eccentric neighbors, and an unfulfilling romance with his landlord, Tom. But things start to change when Zach gives a job to a combat boot-wearing punk with an attitude, Angelo Green.

There are two main characters in this book but the narrator does not change his voice for them or the other few minor characters. I would have to go back to make sure the dialogue was for the correct character. Other than being annoying to listen to, I genuinely enjoyed the story.

A lover from another time... When Ted Ennis steps out the doors of the Criterion Theatre for a cigarette and finds himself in Victorian London, he begins to doubt his sanity. At first he thinks it's all a film set, and is sure that the strikingly handsome young man leaning against a lamppost must be the leading man.… What starts as a sordid transaction with a beautiful rent boy quickly turns into something much deeper, drawing him back again and again as he gets to know Jem and craves meaningful encounters with him.

I tried 3 separate times to listen to this book. For some reason I couldn't listen to the narrator for more than a chapter and, even then, couldn't follow the story. I won't buy a book read by this narrator again. I advise listening to a sample prior to buying. I wish I had.

This story had potential. I was enjoying it then.....it ended abruptly. I have to assume that there will be a continuation. It was very odd.

    Story

Not a bad story but the reader did not have ANY distinction between voices. Since one character was English and one was American, it should have been easy to tell which was which. No excuse for that in my opinion. I spent way too much energy keeping track of who said what.
