Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, it takes you in your mind to the south, pulls you in and makes you feel you are there.

What other book might you compare Carnal Innocence to and why?

Hmmm. Its what you would expect from Nora Roberts.

What does Tom Stechschulte bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Not necessarily. It was my first experience with Stechschulte, more on him as I hear more from him.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

    No comments come to mind.

    Any additional comments?

I would not have named the town 'Innocence.'

Wayward Pines, Idaho, is quintessential small-town America — or so it seems. Secret Service agent Ethan Burke arrives in search of two missing federal agents, yet soon is facing much more than he bargained for. After a violent accident lands him in the hospital, Ethan comes to with no ID and no cell phone. The medical staff seems friendly enough, but something feels…off. As the days pass, Ethan’s investigation into his colleagues’ disappearance turns up more questions than answers. Why can’t he make contact with his family in the outside world? Why doesn’t anyone believe he is who he says he is? And what’s the purpose of the electrified fences encircling the town? Are they keeping the residents in? Or something else out? Each step toward the truth takes Ethan further from the world he knows, until he must face the horrifying possibility that he may never leave Wayward Pines alive…

Where does Pines rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Pines was my intro to Blake Crouch - and I'm hooked! Pines is a bit different, an ideal that you won't see coming nor likely ever thought about.

What other book might you compare Pines to and why?

There is nothing to compare it to!

Have you listened to any of Paul Michael Garcia’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Wayward, the next novel in the series. Garcia is fantastic for this series.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

I will never forget the line " Are fences there to keep people or things in, or to keep them out??"

    Any additional comments?

A Scientific Thriller everyone can relate to.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This audiobook is the best of Blake Crouch's I have listened to yet. The narration is outstanding as well. Very intense, suspenseful, yet realistic, you'll be entertained to the end - never ever dull or slow!

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Crouch throws you curves you don't see coming even when you expect one! This is a great story, narrated very well.

What about Jeffrey Kafer’s performance did you like?

I'm not able to tell you why Kafer is good - just that he IS. Narrators either make or break a good book...this is a "make."

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It is the kind of story that you recall for days or weeks to come.

    Any additional comments?

Listen & Enjoy Blake Crouch. He is now absolutely one of my all time favorite in his genre...thriller, suspense.
