The narrator does not add to an already dry story. I love mountain stories but found this to be too full of details, dull and anticlimatic. I got through 3/4 of the book and wished I would have given up earlier.
The story of a smart girl who is drawn into exotic dancing and her return to life away from it. Self discovery and comic relief make the story interesting.
I didn't want it to end. The characters were frustrating and endearing. You wanted to follow them through all the craziness.
Enjoyed all the details. The story was different than I thought, who knew criminals would be so family oriented.
The plot was simple, story moves at an okay pace. The narator does a great job with the voices, but the story is not engaging enough to hold your interest tightly.
