i HAVE to learn to listen to the previews...the blaring narration has caused me to shut this off within five minutes every time i've tried to listen...occupational hazard with 'cute' mysteries but at the very least this narrator is an acquired taste, enough that i can't review the actual story!

Look, he's a storyteller, not a writer. the prose has always been clunky and breathless but the plotting and pop culture themes were fun. this is an absolute DOG of a book. read some professional reviews, not fan reviews, before you decide, because this time the ctritics are right. If you loved the breathless chase from clue to clue and place to place in the previous books, you won't find it here. honestly, it is a pointless, suspenseless plodder

I wasn't over the moon with the last couple of morton books, but this one features a whole new level of prose and exceptionally fine character development, all within the context of a very compelling story.

Don't let the very market-savvy title fool you; this is a run of the mill chick lit that manges to mention some movie titles in passing but in no way takes advantage of what could have been a clever plot device...

gosh ....a beloved series, but this narrator's take on the characters, especially the priest father john, is really jarring...and she sings, the narrator...i believe at the one hour point she has let her voice soar at least five times...again, since this is supposed to be a native american woman, her admittedly lovely soprano voice is...jarring. i was too comfy with the other voices, i guess, which just shows how crucial narration is...a wonderful series not to be missed and i'm feeling crotchety because i really wanted to escape into this story so take me with a grain of salt...

unbelievably superb and delightful mystery from a first time author, but the narrator is BRILLIANT!!!! what a treat from start to finish

Imagine DA VINCI CODE (not a well-written book, just a ripping story) written by a seventeen year old X BOX playing teenaged boy and you pretty much have this series. since i'm a sucker for any story with an archeologist protagonist, bought this for a nice escape. i had forgotten that i'd (tried) listening to a previous one in the series and when an absolutely laughable chase scene ensued i remembered that in the last one i stopped listening when a motorcycle/auto chase scene went on for TWENTY FOUR MINUTES...just chasing and crashing. i could hear the author telling his agent "i just wrote the chase scene to end all chase scenes!" unfortunately, it bored me to tears and ended my listening experience. the dialogue is too dopey for me and it's just...kind of silly.

lovely dexter, nicely narrated. a bit gruesome, even for dexter, so be sure you know what you're in for. lots of strange fun, in spite of the gore.

agatha raisin is NOT as cozy or cute as i feared; enjoyed the character, the mystery and the narration. will backtrack through the series. a nice getaway audiobook
