"Well worth the listen. True to life."
After I got used to the narrators voice with her accents and inflections, I really enjoyed this book. The made for TV movie that I remember from long ago seems to have been true to the novel, which I was happy about. A riveting story with unforeseen happenings - all in all an enjoyable listen. Very descriptive that at first I thought was going to bog the story down but not so!
"Excellent end to the series"
It was a great ending to the series - making sense but also exciting and surprising right to the end.
Naturally Lisbeth was the character I enjoyed most although Mr Larsson is able to describe people and actions so well that you can picture them easily and match them to their characters.
He made the characters come alive with his accents.
This is a book that, like the other two, catches you up and makes you not want to put it down. I listen to audiobooks to and from work, and found myself continuing to listen as I wandered around the house doing various chores - just didn't want it to stop.
Although the author seems to go overboard on explanations at times, it all makes sense as the stories unfold. I had trouble starting the first book for this reason but don't be put off by this. Well worth listening to - but start with the first in the series to really understand more about Lisbeth and why she reacts the way she does. Everything unfolds as it should.
"My absolute favorite"
This is one of the first audio book I listened to 4 years ago, and it remains my all time favorite. It is narrated by someone who brings the characters and story alive! This is not a big mystery, suspense or romance book, but one that is truly heartwarming - a tale of years gone by. I would be very surprised if this book got an unfavorable review!
