I am always better at saying what I feel, rather than writing it. So this review may not be well-written. In short, the book is great. I've read it twice since I purchased it. The author develops the characters in a wonderful way and it's hard to tell where the book is heading as it develops. I am always a fan of books which take in the future, but which are realistic in what might actually happen as the human race advances in technology. This book does a great job at describing places, events, and the state of the government.I was truly amazed when I found out who the voice was in Kip's head. This book is definately worth getting.

I am a Dan Brown fan and most of his books are the same. No, not the same in content, but the same in that they are hard to stop reading. If I could have, I would have read this one all the way through in one sitting. Real life tends to get in the way of such things however, so it took me about a week. Either because I know Dan's style of writing, or because I was reading with an open mind, I had a bit of an idea of who was who and who would do what, but that did not make the book any less interesting. What I liked most was how obvious the password was in the end, that is one thing which I did not guess.Susan was a good character and I liked the way she was described in both physical appearance and personality. Tankado was a great character as well, despite not being in the book very much, at least interactively. Highly recommended reading.

I gave this book a chance because I wanted to read something erotic. The first half of the book was great, but after that it seemed to get too repetitive. It's like she kept doing the same things over and over. I mean, how many different ways are there of having sex? I suppose if you judge the book on sexual content alone, it was great, but the plot could have been a bit better. There was not enough depth to the characters. So, if you are looking for some good sex scenes, this book is for you, but if you want a meaningful plot, be warned.

Suspense: definately there. Sexy: there as well even though it's not a book about sex. First, the narrator, Scott Brick, is one of my favorite narrators and so even if the book had not been as good, somehow he would have made it turn out to be better. The fact that this book was good, enhanced it even more. I highly recommend all readers check out Scott Brick's readings, even if they are by authors that the reader would have not most likely given a chance. In any case, the whole book was enjoyable to read. Just like other John Corey books by Nelson, this one left you wondering how it would end. This one was hard to put down, and this one developed the characters in style. I highly recommend reading other John Corey books as they are quite worth it. The ending is especially well done and worth not spoiling.

I must confess that I didn't care for this narrator's style. However the story and knowing the kinds of books Nelson writes was enough for me to still enjoy listening to this book. It was hard to put down and get some sleep. I also found myself taking an extra lunch break so I could finish a chapter. The details and the dynamics of real air planes was well-researched and added to the realism. I guess there was a movie made from this book, which I know isn't as good knowing how movies are, so I might watch it one day if I'm bored. This book is a definite keeper however and is worth reading more than once.

I enjoy murder mysteries very much, but this one was not my favorite. I don't know if perhaps it's the Yuppy lifestyle of the main character, or perhaps the fact that things seemed to be almost too easy for him which didn't captivate me as much. It took me about 3 months to read the book because I would start reading, then I could stop without wondering how it would turn out. This is not to say the book was bad which is why I give it a 3 of 5 rating, but it just didn't keep me wondering what would happen like other mysteries I've read.

I'm not normally big on books which deal with a lot of politics. However I do like murder mysteries. The way this book jumps from the past into the present can be confusing if you are not paying attension, but it's not so difficult that it's not enjoyable. I must confess I didn't know how the book would end, but it was quite obvious when I got there. The characters are well developed and you, the reader can easily feel like you know them well, whether you agree with their motives in life or not.

At first I was not sure how well I was going to like the book. The slow was rather a slow start and I must admit that the first 2 chapters were quite boring. However as the book progressed I felt that perhaps the author did that on purpose to outline how the 2-moon world was a slower one in developing. In retrospect, this makes the most sense. I've always liked books about alternate worlds and realities, and this one is among my favorites now. I also like books dealing with other intelligent beings and this one fits the bill. In some ways it reminds me of V, the NBC mini-series in the early 80's. The major difference of course was that those reptiles were from space, rather than from our own planet. All in all, a good read and worth recommending to others.
