There's the Freedom of Information Act, and then there's Ventura's way. The official spin on numerous government programs is flat-out bull, according to Jesse Ventura. In this incredible collection of actual government documents, Ventura, the ultimate nonpartisan truth-seeker, proves it beyond any doubt. He and Dick Russell walk listeners through 63 of the most incriminating programs to reveal what really happens behind the closed doors.

Audible, I want a credit for this terrible book. In the book he's reading all these supposedly published documents but he doesn't back up anything with released fact. He just leaves everything hanging like an inuindo just trying to get you to think devisously instead of doing some basic fact checking. This book has been such an utter waste of time and material. Do yourself a favor and pick a different book, Geez a former Navy Seal should have done better than this piece of junk!

Would you listen to Strong Fathers, Strong Daughters again? Why?

Yes, in a second! I loved this book. Dr. Meeker really pours her heart and soul into this book. It is very well thought out, very well written, and hit's home very well.

What did you like best about this story?

The fact that Dr. Meeker herself is a parent, a daughter, a doctor, and explained so many scenario's that us Dad's go through and gives such profound advice. And not just from an academic point of view. Dr. Meeker uses academic's, experience in real life and also experience from her Medical practice.

Have you listened to any of Cecelia Riddett’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

    Not yet, no.

What did you learn from Strong Fathers, Strong Daughters that you would use in your daily life?

I would have to say it confirmed what I believe mostly. Always put God first, then family, and to always listen and stay engaged with your children.

Would you try another book from Tori Hogan and/or Robin Miles?

    Never!

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Narrator was fine, it was the content that sucked!

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Beyond Good Intentions?

    Just too much to list.

    Any additional comments?

When I bought this book I was expecting so much more than just someone whinning about America GIVING food and money to a Country much older than America and should be much much more established. America has given Billions of dollars in aid to Africa and now according to this author they(Africa) want's to DICTATE to those countries giving it aid how and what to give? Are you kidding me! Yes we should teach the less fortunate how to fish instead of just giving them the fish, but no way in heck do you have the right to tell someone or a country how and what to GIVE you. What kinda of a "special" moron are you? Geez, then to re-patriot these folks to America, WHY in the sam hill would we do that? I/We fought for what America is today and now you just want to give it away? Like heck! Author is just TOTALLY clueless to the WORLD!

Stanley mixes compelling personal revelations and gripping, gritty war stories that will surprise even the most steadfast member of the KISS Army.

What made the experience of listening to Face the Music the most enjoyable?

I used to listen to Kiss along time ago. Over the years I've always keep them within ear shot but never really a hard core fan. This book was awesome in explaining the band's trials and tribulations. I thought it was very respectful to all the band members and Paul doesn't brag on himself, in fact he really strived to create just the ultimate band.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Face the Music?

The common theme of just trying to make good music and be a complete band.

Dubbed by Barron's as "The Shadow CIA", Stratfor, George Friedman's global intelligence company, has provided analysis to Fortune 500 companies, news outlets, and even the U.S. government. Now Friedman delivers the geopolitical story that the mainstream media has been unable to uncover, the startling truth behind America's foreign policy and war effort in Afghanistan, Iraq, and beyond.

    Story
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

For there to be ANY truth to this book AT ALL! The author has NEVER served in ANY branch of the military, has never been deployed, nothing. Yet he tries to speak as an authority of how other countries view us. PLEASE! I was there, I fought in Desert Storm, and the thousands of Iraq's we took as prisoners, the Saudi's, the Kwaitie's, and the many others I saw were scared to death of us. Physically we American's stand taller than 99% of the people from that region, militarily wise we train better than any of the other countries that I served with which include the British Desert Rats, the French, the Saudi's, and on and on. This junk of the Saudi's think American's are a "weak" fighting force is just plain absurd! When I looked into the Saudi's eye's before the war all I saw was fear. I could go on and on, because I WAS THERE unlike the author.

What could George Friedman have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

I really thought this book was going to be factual and speak to the little skirmishes that happen under the radar. Nope, the author decided to speak about the Gulf War's, what caused the Afghanistan war(like he would know). And it really irked me when he spoke about Generals as if they were stupid. Dude if you know so much enlist and show them how it's done. You'd never make it out of basic.

Would you be willing to try another one of Brian Emerson’s performances?

    Absolutely not.

What character would you cut from America's Secret War?

Geez, who cares, this book was so fiction it wasn't funny.

    Any additional comments?

Yes, can I get my credit back to purchase another book? And can I rate this book any lower than 1 star?

Four days before Christmas in 1943, a badly damaged American bomber struggled to fly over wartime Germany. At its controls was a 21-year-old pilot. Half his crew lay wounded or dead. It was their first mission. Suddenly a sleek, dark shape pulled up on the bomber’s tail - a German Messerschmitt fighter. Worse, the German pilot was an ace, a man able to destroy the American bomber with the squeeze of a trigger.

What did you love best about A Higher Call?

The underlining chivalry of the two soldiers. Being a former US Soldier stationed in Germany I totally understood what the author was talking about. In fact I had the wonderful opportunity while in Germany to train with the Germany Army and I was awarded a German Shootsner(bronze). What an awesome experience and the German's were wonderful! Very respectful to me an American, treated me like royalty.

What was one of the most memorable moments of A Higher Call?

To many to list just one. There were two moments that will just grab you specifically. First when the two pilots first meet. And second, was when they meet after the war.

Which character – as performed by Robertson Dean – was your favorite?

Charlie was, just because of his sense of loyalty to his men. Just an incredible man.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Just to many to name just one.

    Any additional comments?

Yes, absolutely! This is a must read for any American. This exemplifies what it has taken to remain a free country. One must always remember, Hitler was trying his best to strike America. Since WWII we have continued to have wars, the World Trade Centers have been brought down(albeit by cowards). America can never rest, we ARE the shinning light of the world. It is well documented throughout history.

I highly recommend this book. I never knew Mr. Rumsfeld was educated at Princeton. The Democrat's surely won't tell you this fact. For all the criticizime that President Bush and Mr. Rumsfeld took and still take, I am amazed of how much of their policies are still in placed today.....
