This book was an utter waste of time. Mr. Sanger clearly hated George Bush, and couldn't be objective of anything President Bush did during his Presidency. President Bush could have invented perpetual motion, and Mr. Sanger would have something negative to say. A complete waste of money. I am sorry I purchased this book.

With the same directness that defined his career in public service, Donald Rumsfeld's memoir is filled with previously undisclosed details and insights about the Bush administration, 9/11, and the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. It also features Rumsfeld's unique and often surprising observations on eight decades of history.

I highly recommend this book. I never knew Mr. Rumsfeld was educated at Princeton. The Democrat's surely won't tell you this fact. For all the criticizime that President Bush and Mr. Rumsfeld took and still take, I am amazed of how much of their policies are still in placed today.....

There's the Freedom of Information Act, and then there's Ventura's way. The official spin on numerous government programs is flat-out bull, according to Jesse Ventura. In this incredible collection of actual government documents, Ventura, the ultimate nonpartisan truth-seeker, proves it beyond any doubt. He and Dick Russell walk listeners through 63 of the most incriminating programs to reveal what really happens behind the closed doors.

Audible, I want a credit for this terrible book. In the book he's reading all these supposedly published documents but he doesn't back up anything with released fact. He just leaves everything hanging like an inuindo just trying to get you to think devisously instead of doing some basic fact checking. This book has been such an utter waste of time and material. Do yourself a favor and pick a different book, Geez a former Navy Seal should have done better than this piece of junk!

  • Vietnam: A History

In this comprehensive history, Stanley Karnow demystifies the tragic ordeal of America's war in Vietnam. The book's central theme is that America's leaders, prompted as much by domestic politics as by global ambitions, carried the United States into Southeast Asia with little regard for the realities of the region. Karnow elucidates the decision-making process in Washington and Asia and recounts the political and military events that occurred after the Americans arrived in Vietnam.

I thought this was a good book. It's just a shame the way we were drug into that war, then how we were left to manage the load in a corrupt country. Kennedy got us into this mess, and I think it's funny how most people forget that fact. And I find it ironic how the corrupt south vietnamise government is so much like the governments of Afghanistan and Iraq. When will we ever learn.......

From the moment he set foot on it, Karl Rove has rocked Americas political stage. He ran the national College Republicans at 22, and turned a Texas dominated by Democrats into a bastion for Republicans. He launched George W. Bush to national renown by unseating a popular Democratic governor, and then orchestrated a GOP White House win at a time when voters had little reason to throw out the incumbent party.

Who understood the risk inherent in the assumption of ever-rising real-estate prices, a risk compounded daily by the creation of those arcane, artificial securities loosely based on piles of doubtful mortgages? Michael Lewis turns the inquiry on its head to create a fresh, character-driven narrative brimming with indignation and dark humor, a fitting sequel to his number-one best-selling Liar’s Poker.

    Great book, highly recommend it.
