I really enjoyed this book. Greg Iles can really write and the narrated performance was stunning. It is one of my favorites and I am listening for over 25 books per year.
I gave up. Boring story, unrealistically dramatic. i wanted it to be good but it was terrible.
Yes. Loved the story. Keith Richards is a genius in song and life.
No. This was terrible. Johnny Depp ok but boring. Joe Hurley horrible. I thought it greatly detracted from the brilliant prose.
My first disappointing Audible book from the viewpoint of readers after more than 60 books.
I usually like John Grishom. This book was disappointing and I managed to finish it but don't recommend it. The reader was not good. It was lifeless and disappointing.
I liked volume 1 but I loved volume 2. The story captivated me and is excellently told. One of the best historical fiction I've ever enjoyed.
This book was ranked as a 5 star. I thought it was a zero. Do yourself a favor and don't even start it. It's convoluted, not believable, and very boring and while the reader took great pains to make something out of nothing, in my opinion he failed. I made myself go the end hoping it would redeem itself. But it didn't. I am sorry I wasted my time on it.
Bronson Pinchot does a superb job on this. I loved his narration and think its the best presentation I've ever heard. He made Flag so evil it made me quiver. The book is fun and I really enjoyed it.
This book has some brilliant parts and is sometimes wonderfully engaging. Other parts are padded with extra non relevant data that I was hating the book. The ending was disappointing. The book is way too long and could have been told in half the time.
I wanted to like this book. But I couldn't make it past the first section. So erudite, so boaring, so full of non significant significance. I fell for the promotion of it. If you like the history of this period, stay away from this book.
