When Daine comes down from the mountains, she carries with her two things: a dark secret about her own past, and a strangely powerful magic that even she doesn't understand.

I have listened to Wild Magic over and over on my iPod. Is is a book full of action mixed with a world full of evil and good immortals, great gods and goddesses, and powerful sourcerers. All of Tamora Pierce's books are awesome, all occuring in the same world, although specifically written about different corners of the world. If this book was appealing to you, then you would enjoy all of Pierce's works as I have.

About three things I was certain. First, Edward was a vampire. Second, there was a part of him, and I didn't know how dominant that part might be, that thirsted for my blood. And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.

I discovered Twilight in April 2006 by browsing through pages and pages audiobooks on Audible.com!!! I saw the cover, the name, read the summary, and thought, hey, that sounds interesting! Boy am I sosososo glad I did, and proud that I did so before it became crazy popular. I love it for it's perfectly impossible story and beautiful writing. Stephenie Meyer deserves all the credit for her wonderful series, and like the characters, it really should continue on forever! I am in denial with the fact that it's supposedly over :P

Also, I am glad for the fact that the first version of Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse that I read was by audiobook. Ilyana Kadushin is a superb narrator, one of the best on Audible. The moment she speaks you know which character is talking, and when I watched the movies, I was disappointed that the characters, especially Bella, didn't sound the way Kadushin did! I don't read many long books, but I enjoy listening to them, and it's all due to great narrators like her.

So everything is awesome...the story...the fact that you get three more long books to download if you loved this (which you will)...and that the listen is very smooth and enjoyable (unlike some books which are great but with unpleasant-sounding narrators). It's win, win, win.....even if you have read the actual book before, if you are a true Twilight fan, you must own every version available <3 <3 <3

To be irrevocably in love with a vampire is both fantasy and nightmare, woven into a dangerously heightened reality for Bella Swan. Pulled in one direction by her intense passion for Edward Cullen, and in another by her profound connection to werewolf Jacob Black, she has endured a tumultuous year of temptation, loss, and strife to reach the ultimate turning point.

I discovered Twilight in April 2006 by browsing through pages and pages audiobooks on Audible.com!!! I saw the cover, the name, read the summary, and thought, hey, that sounds interesting! I am so glad I did, and proud to say I began the books way before it became popular! Ilyana Kadushin is one of the best narrators I have listened to, and I'm happy that she narrated all the Twilight series books. The moment she speaks you know which character is speaking, and when I watched the movies, I was disappointed when Bella sounded nothing like her! LOL.

Anyways, about Breaking Dawn specifically: I downloaded it right when it was available (so this review is very late, but I was prompted by the movie to write my review). I absolutely love the ending, despite the many negative reviews it has gotten by Twilight fans. I am a HUGE Twilight fan. It was my favorite series for a long time before I fell in love with Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series. I won't give anything away (although it's hard to believe anyone still doesn't know how the story goes), but the descriptions of EVERYTHING are wonderful, there isn't too much of anything. And I love that in the end, everything works out for everyone!!! (including cough-Jacob-cough). I was never team Jacob, I wanted Bella and Edward to be together, but I would be more than heartless to wish he'd just disappear. I'm so glad he didn't, and is so much the hero of this last book.

I'm sort of in denial that this series is really, truly, over. Meyer needs to write, like, about Nessie. There's no way her life can go without some complications! Like the characters, this series needs to go on forever <3

A Breath of Snow and Ashes continues the saga of 18th-century Scotsman Jamie Fraser and his 20th-century, time-traveling wife, Claire. The year is 1772, and the rift between Britain and its American colonies has put a frightening word into the minds of all concerned: revolution. In the backwoods of North Carolina, violence has already reared its ugly head, as cabins have been burned to the ground. To preserve the colony for King George III, the governor pleads with Jamie to bring the people together and restore peace. But Jamie has the burden of knowing that war cannot be avoided.

I haven't even listened to this yet, I listened to all the other books and was so upset when some of her books were not available in unabridged format! I had to go to the library and actually read them, I just realized this one's out so I bought it right away! The narration makes Diana's books so much more magical than they already are, Davina Porter is one of the best narrator's I've ever listened to, and I've listened to many audiobooks. Please read the books in order, it will be so much better for you if you do. I hope all Diana's books become unabridged so I can listen to them again and again!

Clare and Henry have known each other since Clare was six and Henry was 36. They were married when Clare was 23 and Henry was 31. Impossible but true, because Henry is one of the first people diagnosed with Chrono-Displacement Disorder: periodically his genetic clock resets and he finds himself misplaced in time, pulled to moments of emotional gravity from his life, past and future. His disappearances are spontaneous, his experiences unpredictable, alternately harrowing and amusing.

Winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Literature, Margaret Mitchell's great novel of the South is one of the most popular books ever written. Within six months of its publication in 1936, Gone With the Wind had sold a million copies. To date, it has been translated into 25 languages, and more than 28 million copies have been sold. Here are the characters that have become symbols of passion and desire....

This is the first time I've ever read or listened to "Gone With the Wind", and it is a truly beautiful piece of literature. The narration was also perfect :) I'm young, and maybe because of that I don't understand why novels like these don't end in happy endings; I'm really disappointed at how the book ended. However I enjoyed listening to it from start to finish, I'm only outraged that it finished where it did.

Two girls, two centuries apart. One never knowing the other. But when Andi finds Alexandrine’s diary, she recognizes something in her words and is moved to the point of obsession. There’s comfort and distraction for Andi in the journal’s antique pages - until, on a midnight journey through the catacombs of Paris, Alexandrine’s words transcend paper and time, and the past becomes suddenly, terrifyingly present.

Lots of people complained about the narration, I thought it was wonderful. This is an incredible book and teaches you a lot from both Andi and Alex. I usually don't like stories with sad endings, even if it is only sad for one of the main characters. It was captivating from beginning to finish, and I wish I could come across audio books with this level of brilliant writing and narration more often.

This book series is awesome. Although I've never listened to abridged, I don't feel encouraged to buy them, and if they aren't on here soon, I will be forced to go the library :( I hate when that happens, but this book is awesome. Get the first one, Outsider, and read them in order though. Otherwise it'd be really confusing!!!

I am a more romantic person, but I don't see how Snyder could fit any more romance into it without ovedoing things, so double thumbs up for Magic Study! Don't forget to read Poison and Fire Study too!

For Bella Swan, there is one thing more important than life itself: Edward Cullen. But being in love with a vampire is even more dangerous than Bella ever could have imagined. Edward has already rescued Bella from the clutches of one evil vampire, but now, as their daring relationship threatens all that is near and dear to them, they realize their troubles may be just beginning.

    cmclien says: "Emotionally Painful..."
    "NUMBER ONE"
    Overall

This book is written by my favorite author, Stephenie Meyer. I am absolutely enchnanted by her series, Twilight. New Moon is the second book in the series out of the present three, although Breaking Dawn, the fourth book, comes out in a little less than a year.
New Moon begins almost exactly where Twilight leaves off (leaving off after the almost fatal vampire attack and the end of Bella's school year). It is now Bella's 18th birthday, and she gets a paper cut, triggering the wild thirst for blood in Jaspar, Edward(Bella's lover)'s brother. Edward painfully decides that Bella's life is in great danger, and cuts himself and his vampire family out of her life by moving, and lying to Bella, saying he no longer loves her. This was not true, but Bella believed him, and the story goes on, and it happens that Bella ends up saving Edward's life before they reunite.
Anyone with any sense of literature would know that this book is quality work. It is truely remarkable. I have been drawn into Meyer's imaginary world where vampires and their enemies, the werewolves, live in secrecy to the unsuspecting humans.
