"The Ultimate Anti-Hero!!!"
Yes! The sound effects and background noise make it so much more enjoyable!! You can actually put yourself into the action.
So many stand out moments...but if pressured...the final battle is quite awesome! It seem to last like for 10 minutes of listening!!
He does them all quite well, even the females. However, I think he seems to do quite well with Valenthyne Farfalla. He seems to put allot of emotion and feeling into his dialog.
The Ultimate Anti-Hero
Even though Bane is the real main character here, he spends allot of time in the background. The gist of the story focuses on Zannah and her missions and training. Also on her doubts. She is by a Sith for sure, but sometimes feels torn about it.
"I tried...I really did"
I don't get why this series is so popular. I honestly thought Jordan was making some of this up as he was going. I like detail in my books, but, there are different ways of doing it. George RR Martin has it down, Jordan, not so much. His detail is just tedious and drawn out. I cared none for any of the characters. And even thought it's been said before, the Tolkien ripoff is ever evident. So much so that alot of this seem so unoriginal. So again, I tried, I really did.
From this genre, no...from this series, yes
I thought they were both dreadful. Micheal Kramer tries too hard and over emphasizes and comes off as whiny and nasal.
I just don't understand why this is so popular and hyped.
"I want to be Bane!!"
This is the first book I've listened to with background noise/sound effects and it makes it so much more enjoyable and easy to listen to!! Being a huge SW nerd I find it hard to believe it's taken me this long to listen to expanded universe book. Well worth it!
For me it was Banes training on Korriban
The scenes with Githany. Two devious personalities trying to subdue the other
Cry...no. Laugh...yes a few times. Des is quite funny in his gruff personality.
Couldn't stop listening. On to Book 2.....
