  • The Normal Christian Life

This classic work unfolds the path of Christian faith and presents the eternal purpose of God in simple terms. Nee's discussion and writings on the book of Romans is truly challenging. His classic work takes on many difficult subjects and radically challenges current Christian culture.

    Overall

This is one of the first books I read as a new believer 3 decades ago. I had always wanted to reread it, then I stumbled on it here in audio format. This is one of the few books that I recommend every Christian read. Essentially, its is a discourse on the book of Romans, but is done in a very conversational style.

The narrator for this book was well chosen and he is very easy to listen to. He never gets in the way of the text. Highly recommended in book AND audio form.

Is it only a little boy's imagination or does the North Wind herself whisk seven-year-old Diamond away on the adventure of a lifetime? Travel to the back of beyond in this enchanting fantasy by George MacDonald. Experience Victorian London as you meet Nanny the young "sweeper," the kindly Mr. Raymond and Diamond, the invalid stable boy with a heart of gold.

Once again, another superb Focus on the Family Radio Theatre production. The five stars rating refers to both the amazing story by George MacDonald as well as the audio dramatization. Perfect on all counts.

What is the nature of God? How can we recapture a real sense of God's majesty and truly live in the Spirit? This beloved book, a modern classic of Christian testimony and devotion, addresses these and other vital questions, showing us how we can rejuvenate our prayer life, meditate more reverently, understand God more deeply, and experience God's presence in our daily lives.

    "Poor narration"
    Overall

First of all this is a 5 star BOOK - a classic that belongs on every Christian's bookshelve.

The 1 star rating is for the narrator. I can't even listen to him. His voice and delivery are the
audio book equivalent of figernails on a blackboard. He is TONE DEAF to the subject matter of
book he is reading. His strident, frenetic reading is just plain annoying, to the point that, as I
said, I cannot even listen to it.

This is a good and listenable reading of the psalms.

But I would recommend either Alexander Scourby, or Max Mclean's
renditions (entire bible is available by both)
