Fantastic Narrator and great performance. However, the heroine was so weak she became annoying. She whined throughout the entire book. She could not think for herself and every other character manipulated her. She wrung her hands and continuously cried, "OMG what should I do." I ended up wanting to give her a good shake to say "grow up." It could be that I haven't listened to a romance in a while, but I will say the voices where distinct and the book kept you very involved. I just wished the heroine would have been a little more adult. I have at least 2 more hours to go, hopefully it will get better.

Nola Leary would have been content to stay in Kilcairy, Ireland, healing villagers at her family’s clinic with a mix of magic and modern medicine. But a series of ill-timed omens and a deathbed promise to her grandmother have sent her on a quest to Half-Moon Hollow, Kentucky, to secure her family’s magical potency for the next generation. Her supernatural task? To unearth four artifacts hidden by her grandfather before a rival magical family beats her to it. Complication One: The artifacts are lost somewhere in vampire Jane Jameson’s occult bookshop. Complication Two: Her new neighbor, Jed Trudeau, keeps turning up half-naked at the strangest times....

Hilarious as usual! Molly Harper is an automatic download. She always leaves you with a smile. I liked how the new plot connected to the grandfather and tied everything together in the Hollow. So nice visiting with old friends from Half Moon Hollow.

I enjoyed the crazy accents, because really how would a Boston/Irish accent sound?

If you keep writing them, I'll keep downloading! :)

Nice! I am curious as to why Hawk's and Jolie's team only has one warrior plus Jolie. Hummmmm that part doesn't make sense. I think if you at least had a few more warriors it would add more depth as well as more action. It is not really realistic that you have what is supposedly a war and the other side has an army and Jolie and Hawk only have 2 warriors. Huh?

But, other than that bit of unrealisticness the story is still good and I am ready to listen to the 3rd book! :)

I loved the relationship that is developing between Jolie and Hawk. Jolie's sauciness was so entertaining. I can't wait to see how the rest of the series develops. Hawk is a wonderful hero!
Jax Garren’s world is very interesting and Therese Plummer’s voices are distinct and very recognizable. TP is a very talented narrator.

Over all I believe it’s going to be a good series. I have already downloaded the 2nd and 3rd books!

One night Kylie Galen finds herself at the wrong party, with the wrong people, and it changes her life forever. Her mother ships her off to Shadow Falls - a camp for troubled teens, and within hours of arriving, it becomes painfully clear that her fellow campers aren’t just "troubled". Here at Shadow Falls, vampires, werewolves, shapshifters, witches and fairies train side by side - learning to harness their powers, control their magic, and live in the normal world. Kylie’s never felt normal, but surely she doesn’t belong here with a bunch of paranormal freaks either. Or does she?

I really liked this story. First of all, it is a teen's book. One that I wouldn't mind my teenagers listening to. The main character Kylie is adorable. Her character really grows through out the series. Topics like sex, teen pregnancy and divorce are addressed. Just to let you know how much I liked it, I have listened to 3 of the books since Friday! And will download the 4th soon. The supernatural element, along with heavy subjects that teenagers have to deal with, and a glimpse at how stupid the parents can sometimes be ( lol yes, I am a parent!) makes for a really great story!

It hasn't been the best week for Jessica McClain. Her newly found mate has been kidnapped by a Goddess hell-bent on revenge, and Jessica is positive she can save him. But being the only female werewolf in town comes with its own set of rules and powers...if only she understood them. Aided by two vamps, two loyal Pack members, and one very reluctant human, Jessica must rescue her man while coming to terms with what being a wolf really means.

I liked the book; I just didn't like it as much as the first book. If you enjoyed the first book, you will still like this one. I tried to figure out what part I didn't like. What I came up with was the underdevelopment of the secondary characters. Just my personal opinion, of course, but the book would have had a little more depth to it if the secondary characters where a little more developed. Hopefully the main character will mature as the story goes a long. How do you continue to stress that she is only a 1 week old wolf, but all of your supposedly mature wolves have put her in charge? We are not talking power. We acknowledge that she has more power, but she has NO experience but she is suddenly leading everyone, even her father. And another thing that was very irritating to me, were the fight scenes, particularly the last fight scene. No one has time to have so many long drawn out conversations with her wolf and anyone else during the darn fight scenarios. For example: When you first go into the cave, you tell yourself that you have to go straight for the evil goddess because if you don't, she will be able to throw a spell and you will end up trap a long with your mate. BUT, repeatedly throughout the fight instead of following your own advice, you go for your mate. And not only that, you map out a complete scenario of how you are going to do it and why. NO! Just NO! You do not have time to think of all that crap. Honestly, there is no way she could have won the freakin' fight with how the fight scenes were written. I know, I know. I was just frustrated with the entire cave scene. My children were laughing at me because I kept yelling, "You don't have time for that!!!!” lol

I will purchase the 3rd book and I am keeping my fingers crossed that the main character is a little more mature and that the other characters don't seem to sitting or standing around waiting for a 1 week old to make all the decisions.

Decent story or as much as you can expect with a wimpy alpha male. Can you really be an "Alpha Male" if you whine and waffle back and forth about how you are treating your potential mate? It’s like the author tried to manufacture conflict between the hero and heroine, but it didn't seem very sincere. What happened to assertive, hard-ass, aggressive, equaling alpha? Drake (the want-a-be alpha) was a very disappointing male. It probably didn't help that all of the male voices sounding like sex pots. Instead of male voices it sounds like sexy, husky, women talking instead of men. The other characters constantly tell you how good of a pride leader Drake is but he didn't show it. Although the female voices were good and I liked their character, most of the time. But Tabby (the heroine) got on my nerves instead of causing me to feel empathy or sympathy part of the time. She spends a lot of her time throwing a pity party. Don't get me wrong, her circumstances have been hard but there should have been a better way of expressing it. Lets suck it up and be strong!

I also must admit that I am being premature, because I am on chapter 10 and have 8 more to go. Audible doesn't let you come back and update your reviews, so there is a possibility that this will go from mediocre to good. I am keeping my fingers crossed. But as of right now they are so freaking sappy I want to shut it off, but, darn it, I used my credit so I am going to stick it out! ugh!!!!

And when her mom died he'd told her that without Becky there to make him acknowledge CJ as his daughter, he was finished with her and she was never to darken his door again. The slap that bloodied her mouth at her mom's funeral had been more than enough to make his point. So she didn't, not even to come home to his funeral. Austin Force wanted the property that the prick Webber owned. He wanted it for his pack and the house for his mom to call hers.

I like the story line and I really liked CJ. The story had a little mystery mixed in with the erotica, a very little mystery. lol A little bit more dedicated to the climax of the mystery would have added more depth to the story, but overall I enjoyed the story.

The recording had an echo at the beginning and there where several places where you could hear Liona Gem swallowing. But I liked her voices, male and female.

This is truly a wonderful book, from start to finish, just outstanding. The book is 18 plus hours, I managed to listen to the entire book in about 30 hours. I did nothing else! The characters and the world that they live in are phenomenal. As events unfolded, I kept checking to see how much longer I had. This will probably be one that I go back and listen to again. And don't you just love it when the bad guys get exactly what they deserve?! It was really an outstanding performance with both Anne Bishop and Alexandra Harris. And you have got to be damned good to deliver such a fantastic performance without even one love scene!

This performance is worth BOTH of my credits for the month, so it was a bargain at only one credit.
