Army Special Agent John Puller is the best there is. A combat veteran, Puller is the man the U.S. Army relies on to investigate the toughest crimes facing the nation. Now he has a new case - but this time, the crime is personal: His aunt has been found dead in Paradise, Florida.

What would have made The Forgotten better?

Used a different female narrator......or just one

Would you be willing to try another one of Ron McLarty and Orlagh Cassidy ’s performances?

Ron's only problem was having to read sappy lines. Cassidy is consistently bad.

What character would you cut from The Forgotten?

    The female general

    Any additional comments?

Would like to trade this book for another, but have read many Baldacci books - actually liked some. My bad.

In Red Gold, Jean Casson returns to Paris under a new identity. As a fugitive from the Gestapo, he must somehow struggle to survive in the shadows and backstreets. He is determined to stay clear of trouble, yet, as the war drags on, Casson begins, inevitably, to drift back into the dangerous world of resistance and sabotage.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

    Better story and performance.

Has Red Gold turned you off from other books in this genre?

No. I've read other books by Alan Furst and enjoyed them. This one came up short.

How could the performance have been better?

It may have been an OK book, but I couldn't get interested in the characters. I know it was a grim time, but it was also an energetic time.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

    Not much.

    Any additional comments?

    Wish I could........but no.

Vincent Majestyk saw too much death in the jungles of Southeast Asia. All he wants to do now is farm his melons and forget. But peace can be an elusive commodity, even in the Arizona hinterlands - and especially when the local mob is calling all the shots. And one quiet, proud man's refusal to be strong-armed by a powerful hood is about to start a violent chain reaction that will leave Mr. Majestyk ruined, in shackles, and without a friend in the world -- except for one tough and beautiful woman.

Where does Mr. Majestyk rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Elmore Leonard is such a master of dialog and Frank Muller's narration was among the more enjoyable I've listened to.
