Top plastic surgeon Elijah Creem is renowned for his skills in the operating room, and for his wild, no-expense-spared "industry parties", bringing in underage exotic dancers and models for nights of drugs, champagne, and uninhibited sex. That is, until Detective Alex Cross busts one of Creem's lavish soirees and ruins his fun. Now Creem is willing to do anything to avoid going to jail. But Alex doesn't have time to dwell on that case. A beautiful woman has been found murdered in her car, a lock of her hair viciously ripped off. Then a second woman is found hanging from a sixth-floor window with a brutal scar slashed across her stomach....

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Just did not think this story was up to par for the author. Very disappointed with the ending.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The frustration and bad moves of Alex Cross

What does Michael Boatman and Steven Boyer bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Many different voices. Very well done!

Could you see Alex Cross, Run being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Most likely a movie would be worse than the book. Hollywood usually does not do a good job

    Any additional comments?

    Just OK story.

Meredith and Nina Whitson are as different as sisters can be. One stayed at home to raise her children and manage the family apple orchard: the other followed a dream and traveled the world to become a famous photojournalist. But when their beloved father fails ill, Meredith and Nina find themselves together again, standing alongside their cold, disapproving mother, Anya, who even now, offers no comfort to her daughters

Alysa says: "Gut wrenching....but well done."
"Many better books with the same theme"

Would you try another book from Kristin Hannah and/or Susan Ericksen?

    No

What do you think your next listen will be?

    Kitchen Help

What three words best describe Susan Ericksen’s performance?

    Just OK

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Winter Garden?

Too much information a lot of times. Sometimes less is more. The fairy tale analogy was the best part. The ending was ridiculous.

    Any additional comments?

The "Madonnas of Leningrad" was a far superior read with almost the same themes
