Like every other hobbit, Bilbo Baggins likes nothing better than a quiet evening in his snug hole in the ground, dining on a sumptuous dinner in front of a fire. But when a wandering wizard captivates him with tales of the unknown, Bilbo becomes restless. Soon he joins the wizard’s band of homeless dwarves in search of giant spiders, savage wolves, and other dangers. Bilbo quickly tires of the quest for adventure and longs for the security of his familiar home. But before he can return to his life of comfort, he must face the greatest threat of all.

If you could sum up The Hobbit in three words, what would they be?

    Lots of singing.

Which character – as performed by Rob Inglis – was your favorite?

He did a good job of Golim.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Brought me back to when is was a kid reading the book. Forgot about all the songs though. Rob Inglis performs them well but it is a bit annoying at times.

If you could sum up The Boy Behind the Gate: How His Dream of Sailing Around the World Became a Six-Year Odyssey of Adventure, Fear, Discovery and Love in three words, what would they be?

    Inspiring, scary and real.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Boy Behind the Gate: How His Dream of Sailing Around the World Became a Six-Year Odyssey of Adventure, Fear, Discovery and Love?

There were too many memorable parts. The adventure of sailing into and through the unknown is truly a measure of their bravery. All the obstacles the overcame showed grit and ingenuity (along with large amounts of money). Flying the rainbow flag around the world was gutsy.
The places they anchored and ports of call sounded exciting as well as utopic. As I listened I followed along with google maps. Zooming in and out to see where they were, how far they had come and how far they had to go. Truly fascinating!

  • The Power of Habit: Why We Do What We Do in Life and Business

At its core, The Power of Habit contains an exhilarating argument: The key to exercising regularly, losing weight, raising exceptional children, becoming more productive, building revolutionary companies and social movements, and achieving success is understanding how habits work. Habits aren’t destiny. As Charles Duhigg shows, by harnessing this new science, we can transform our businesses, our communities, and our lives.

Mehra says: "Nice! A guide on how to change"
    "Fastest listen so far."

What did you like best about this story?

The story was really interesting. It was inspiring without being preachy. There was good science behind it without being too technical. Good writing and good reading.

Which character – as performed by Mike Chamberlain – was your favorite?

Not many characters were involved. He is an excellent reader though.

What insight do you think you’ll apply from The Power of Habit?

I think it will help me to do unhealthy things much less and healthy things much more.

Councilman Golan Trevize is wondering if he was right to choose a collective mind as the best possible future for humanity over the anarchy of contentious individuals, nations and planets. To test his conclusion, he decides he must know the past and goes in search of legendary Earth, all references to which have been erased from galactic libraries. The societies encountered along the way become arguing points in a book-long colloquy about man's fate, conducted by Trevize and traveling companion Bliss, who is part of the first world/mind, Gaia.
