After a long and eventful life, Allan Karlsson ends up in a nursing home, believing it to be his last stop. The only problem is that he's still in good health, and in one day, he turns 100. A big celebration is in the works, but Allan really isn't interested (and he'd like a bit more control over his vodka consumption). So he decides to escape. He climbs out the window in his slippers and embarks on a hilarious and entirely unexpected journey, involving, among other surprises, a suitcase stuffed with cash.

If you could sum up The 100-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared in three words, what would they be?

    Fun, lighthearted, educational

What did you like best about this story?

I learned something new and enjoyed doing it.

What does Steven Crossley bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

His accent and expression of emotion helped build the characters in my mind.

Who was the most memorable character of The 100-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared and why?

Alan, obviously. You see him go through so much and you can't help but love the way he interacts with people. I found myself giggling every time there was a conversation between him and someone else.

It is Nick and Amy Dunne's fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick's clever and beautiful wife disappears from their rented McMansion on the Mississippi River. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn't doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media - as well as Amy's fiercely doting parents - the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he's definitely bitter - but is he really a killer?

Teddy says: "Demented, twisted, sick and I loved it!"
"Good story with an unfortunate finish"

    Intriguing, thought-provoking, different.

What did you like best about this story?

I enjoyed seeing how all of the pieces came together. And that I became emotionally attached to characters and then found I was led to do so - kept it interesting!

What about Julia Whelan and Kirby Heyborne ’s performance did you like?

I enjoyed their voices of the opposite gender. They both have a wide range and are talented speakers.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

    I Wear the Pants

    Any additional comments?

I was disappointed in the ending. I feel the author tried TOO hard to be "original".
