  • Star Wars: The Old Republic: Revan

    • UNABRIDGED (10 hrs and 55 mins)
    • By Drew Karpyshyn
    • Narrated By Marc Thompson

There’s something out there: a juggernaut of evil bearing down to crush the Republic - unless one lone Jedi, shunned and reviled, can stop it. Revan: hero, traitor, conqueror, villain, savior. A Jedi who left Coruscant to defeat Mandalorians - and returned a disciple of the dark side, bent on destroying the Republic. The Jedi Council gave Revan his life back, but his memories have been erased. All that’s left are nightmares - and deep, abiding fear. What exactly happened beyond the Outer Rim? Revan can’t quite remember, yet can’t entirely forget.

Ryan says: "Did you play Knights of the Old Republic?"

If you have played Knights of the Old Republic 1&2, then you are familiar with the characters. Revan, was considered one if the most powerful sith/ jedi of the old republic, and as a fan was excited what story would take place where the games left off. Let's just say I was hoping for more, and the story didn't end.

  • The Host: A Novel

    • UNABRIDGED (23 hrs and 5 mins)
    • By Stephenie Meyer
    • Narrated By Kate Reading
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Earth has been invaded by a species that takes over the minds of human hosts while leaving their bodies intact. But Melanie Stryder refuses to fade away.

Keith says: "Great story in a genre only touched upon before"
"stephenie meyer minus sparkly vampires = win"

Creative and original perspective regarding the conquering of earth, and the resilience of the human spirit. Plus, I'm a 30 year old guy who hated the twilight saga and loved this

  • The Hunger Games

    • UNABRIDGED (11 hrs and 14 mins)
    • By Suzanne Collins
    • Narrated By Carolyn McCormick
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Could you survive on your own, in the wild, with everyone out to make sure you don't live to see the morning? In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by 12 outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of 12 and 18 to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV.

Teddy says: "The Book Deserves The Hype"

Chosen at random, I was completely sucked in to the Hunger Games trilogy after this book. A potent story reminiscent if x"The Lottery", both the enthralled story and the perfectly rendered reading by the narrator made me have to buy the next two books immediately just so I could see how the story ends. No spoilers, but this book is not your typical Y.A. reader's path to the happy ending, but challenges morality and relationships on base levels. Highly recommend

  • Born of Shadows

    • UNABRIDGED (11 hrs and 6 mins)
    • By Sherrilyn Kenyon
    • Narrated By Holter Graham
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

For Caillen Dagan, a defiant soldier of fortune, survival isn't a right, it's a brutal daily battle. Moving through the Ichidaian universe like a wraith, his brushes with the law and death are legendary. But when an act of rare heroism reveals his hidden birthright, he's forced into a world much more dangerous and cold-hearted than the bloody streets where he was raised-one of obscene wealth and lethal politics. Ferocious and determined, Desideria serves as an official bodyguard for her queen. Born of questionable genetics, she will do anything to prove herself worthy of the weapons she carries....

Robin Shaw says: "Excellent contiunation of League story!"
    "underwhelming story turned softcore porn"

I had hopes for the story. The characters were creative and interesting, and the story was engaging. However, I quickly grew weary of the authors perplexing and distracting fixation on the male lead's constant erections. I ended up fast forwarding through several sections because the "love scenes" became such an unnecessary distraction from the story. By the end I just wanted the story to end in some vain hope that the author would redeem herself, but I was left wanting. If you want a story where a women's version of male machismo and id driven lust meet a mediocre sci fi story and turns into a lame romance novel then this is for you.
