Where does What Alice Forgot rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I really wasn't sure when I downloaded it but I became so involved with the characters, I felt as if I were apart of their lives. It one of my favorites!

Elizabeth was my favorite sister. Her feelings were so open and honest and brutal, I cried with her in sadness, agony, frustruation and celebrated with her in joy!!!

    Which scene was your favorite?

The very beginning scene when Alice was trying to connect words after her accident was so funny.

If you could take any character from What Alice Forgot out to dinner, who would it be and why?

I loved Frannie. She was just so sweet and honest and mischievous!

In a case that spans 20 years, Harry Bosch links the bullet from a recent crime to a file from 1992, the killing of a young female photographer during the L.A. riots. Harry originally investigated the murder, but it was then handed off to the Riot Crimes Task Force and never solved. Now Bosch's ballistics match indicates that her death was not random violence, but something more personal, and connected to a deeper intrigue. Like an investigator combing through the wreckage after a plane crash, Bosch searches for the "black box", the one piece of evidence that will pull the case together.

If you could sum up The Black Box in three words, what would they be?

I have listened to all of the Harry Bosch series and they are all EXCELLENT! My husband and I have listened to them and enjoy talking about the story line. I have listened to them all in sequence and just finished The Black Box. The story was great, as usual, but the narrator made it so hard to finish the listen. He wasn't bad but Len Cariou fit Harry Bosch in my mind. This narrator sounded bored and too young for Harrys character at this age.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Black Box?

Harry taking his daughter to the simulated gun range.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Did not like the narrator at all. He just did not fit the Bosch character and sounded bored most of the time.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No, it just kept my attention to the end.

    Any additional comments?

Can't wait for the next Bosch book to come out on audible. Guess I will start reading the short stories and the other Connelly books. He is an excellent writer.

Meet Harold Fry, recently retired. He lives in a small English village with his wife, Maureen, who seems irritated by almost everything he does, even down to how he butters his toast. Little differentiates one day from the next. Then one morning the mail arrives, and within the stack is a letter addressed to Harold from a woman he hasn't seen or heard from in 20 years. Queenie Hennessy is in hospice and is writing to say goodbye. Harold pens a quick reply and, leaving Maureen to her chores, heads to the corner mailbox. But then Harold has a chance encounter, one that convinces him that he absolutely must deliver his message to Queenie in person.

What made the experience of listening to The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry the most enjoyable?

Harolds willingness to get to know people just made him so endearing.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry?

When Maureen visited him along the route and looked at him and loved him so much.

    Which scene was your favorite?

    The ending.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I found myself doing extra work just so I could keep listening.

    Any additional comments?

This book and the characters are so believable I found myself crying with their heartache and laughing with their memories. It is a book I will not soon forget.

Castle House Lodge. A century ago it was an exclusive resort hotel. But for years it’s stood empty, a haunting shadow of its former glories. Now, after twenty-five years of rumors and ghost stories, the overgrown grounds are showing signs of being tended. The building itself has been repaired. Castle House has new occupants. What was once a haven for the elite is now a madhouse, a private asylum for pregnant women.

What would have made The 13th better?

A plot would help. The language was just too much.

What was most disappointing about John Everson’s story?

There didn't seem to be any reason for the entire story. I listened to the very end hoping it would make sense but it just didn't.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

I love the narrator, that is the reason I bought the book because I had listened to him in another book but there just wasn't much he could do to make this book work.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

    Disappointment.

    Any additional comments?

NOt sure I will read another John Everson book.

From Atlanta's wealthiest suburbs to its stark inner-city housing projects, a killer has crossed the boundaries of wealth and race. And the people who are chasing him must cross those boundaries, too. Among them is Michael Ormewood, a veteran detective whose marriage is hanging by a thread and whose arrogance and explosive temper are threatening his career. And Angie Polaski, a beautiful vice cop who was once Michael's lover before she became his enemy.

Where does Triptych rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is been one of the most suspenseful books I've listened to in a long time! It's the1st one I've read of Karin Slaughter but it definitely won't be the last.

What did you like best about this story?

I loved the characters. Will Trent is so open and honest.

What does Michael Kramer bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I loved his accents for the characters. He did an awesome job and reeled me in. I will be looking for more books he has read.

    Any additional comments?

Great Job to the author and the narrator.
