What disappointed you about The No Complaining Rule?

The overall use of story to teach business management was just not believable

Would you ever listen to anything by Jon Gordon again?

This author is sort of a one idea writer that spins that one idea with countless truisms

Would you be willing to try another one of Jon Gordon’s performances?

    No

What character would you cut from The No Complaining Rule?

Hope was beyond hope and had a totally unbelievable experience

    Any additional comments?

Good concept delivered in a way that way about as sophisticated as a middle school author would produce

Where does Mockingjay rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

The audio performance is in the top 5 of my listens

What other book might you compare Mockingjay to and why?

This book brought up ideas in Fahrenheit 451. The control of the society and the lack of trust that permeated even to family and friends

    Which scene was your favorite?

The pods in the Capital street scene was quite vivid

    Any additional comments?

I particularly like the author interview at the conclusion.

On November 10, 2008, Dr. Eben Alexander was driven into coma by a disease so lethal that only 1 in 10,000,000 survive. Seven days later, he awakened with memories of a fantastic odyssey deep into another realm that were more real than this earthly one - memories that included meeting a deceased birth sister he had never known existed. Dr. Alexander deployed all his knowledge as a scientist to find out whether his mind could have played a trick on him. In its shutdown state, there was no way it could have.

Bill Bryson has been an enormously popular author both for his travel books and for his books on the English language. Now, this beloved comic genius turns his attention to science. Although he doesn't know anything about the subject (at first), he is eager to learn, and takes information that he gets from the world's leading experts and explains it to us in a way that makes it exciting and relevant.
