    I will listen to this book many times as it is an powerful and poetic reminder of all that matters and the resilience of the human spirit.


    What did you like best about this story?

    The brutality, humor, beauty and humility in a reality some of us would rather not see or recognize as part of the world we are all connected to.


    What about Gregory Boyle’s performance did you like?

    His performance was moving, genuine and astonishing.


    Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

    I was moved by Boyle's courage and the courage of all those he offered to us in this book.


    Any additional comments?

    I would not normally read a book like this but chose to listen to it. Something in the description caught my attention and made me take a chance. I'm not drawn to non-fiction steeped in constant dramatic hardship with no hope in sight. But out of the ashes and in the here and now, is this amazing story that moved me so much I was surprised by me.
