Penniless and 34th in line to the throne, Lady Georgiana Rannoch finds herself in a truly draining state of affairs. To escape her hateful brother, Georgie accepts an invitation from the Queen to represent the royals at a wedding in Transylvania. But at the macabre- looking castle, Georgie finds the bride with blood running down her chin, and a wedding guest is poisoned.

What did you love best about Royal Blood?

I enjoyed the descriptions of the castle and winter in Transylvania as well as the silly yet entertaining ups and downs of Georgiana's current sleuthing/ royal obligations.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Georgiana, the main character in all the Royal Spyness stories, is a delightful mix of clever and clumsy, innocent an wise! !!

What does Katherine Kellgren bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She does a fine job of all the voices, so much that I forget it's only one narrator and of course it's the difference between being read to instead of reading that makes audible so enjoyable.

    Any additional comments?

All the Royal Spyness books are wonderful light entertainment, especially if you like period ie 1930 's historical English fiction,

Michael was in a hurry. He was scrambling up the ladder at Drake & Sweeney, a giant D.C. firm with 800 lawyers. The money was good and getting better; a partnership was 3 years away. He was a rising star with no time to waste, no time to stop, no time to toss a few coins into the cups of panhandlers. No time for a conscience. But a violent encounter with a homeless man stopped him cold. Also available abridged.

Where does The Street Lawyer rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

The street Lawyer is an engaging listen . I would say compelling but not literary. I find Grisham fun informative and easy to escape into.

What other book might you compare The Street Lawyer to and why?

Any of Grisham's other books but not too suspenseful more thoughtful.

    Which scene was your favorite?

No particular scene, but it was interesting to watch the main character make some extreme life changes.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No but I was all the way through curious to see what would happen.

    Any additional comments?

Not as suspenseful as some previous titles by grisham but still a thoughtful book set in DC and including complex legal and moral issues
