"Frost + Gilbert = 100% AWESOMENESS"
I totally loved this book. This was the second series other than Outlander that I have listened to on audio. I am not sure if it is the characterization by Tavia Gilbert or the writing by Frost but as a team they are unstoppable. I have found new love. Cat is my kind of heroine. She is kick ass and bad tempered and doesn't let anything stand in her way. She takes charges, and shoots this s--tz and doesn't mind asking for forgiveness instead of permission from no one. Then Bones, my dearest sweet Bones. He is charming. He too being kick ass and alpha-type doesn't let up at all in his ruthlessness or persuasion to get exactly what he wants. Together they make a totally bad team. Although the book was average in length it was a very quick read. The chapters moved so freely that once I was at the end I was like noooooooo there has to be more. Some of the things I enjoyed about this pairing was how things were instantly attracted. While in some situation I do love the suddenness of how love falls upon the hero and heroine it would have been totally uncharacteristic to have befallen upon these two. Their first date is anything but romantic. I love how he is able to take control and be so demanding while still allowing her to be strong and fierce. He respects her strengths and loves her all the more for them. The side characters were also loveable in this one. Justine is my favorite. She is just type of person you love to hate. This was totally a loveable series with great characters and an even greater storyline. I see why the fan base for these guys is so huge. I am moving right along to book two.

"Can they get any better? Just WOW!"
WOW is my one work summary of this read. The story, the narration was brilliance in the making. I loved every scene, every character and every moment of this audio book. This is definitely one of my favorites.
"Once again Gabaldon and Porter have made my day!"
Although I must admit this wasn't my favorite book in the series but I enjoyed reading it. The narrator was wonderful and the story was endurable. By this time you are in such love with the characters and the stories that you still are not able to put it down.
"OMG James Fraser I Love You"
This was my very first audio book and to be honest I actually put off listening or reading this book due to length. At first I had thought about reading it leisurely however I am such an impatient reader that I didn't want to voluntary skip over the good parts so I then decided to listen to the book. OMG have I not ever made a better decision. I was going to write a review immediately following reading the book but I was too excited to stop and write so I decided to continue on and now that I am six books into the series. THIS IS MY FAVORITE. I am so hooked on Davina Porter she does an absolutely wonderful job playing James Fraser. I didn't think I would be able to really appreciate a male character narrated by a female narrator but boy was I wrong. This was a great first read and I definitely recommend it to the world.
"Outlander continues.."
This book in particular, maybe but the overall series a definate YES. This was probably not my favorite book till the end but enjoyable all the same.
I am not sure this was one of my first historical ficition romance novels. The bar has been set and I am not sure that any competitors' exists.
It is amazing to hear her change her voice to different characters.
Well maybe.
"Can they not get any better?"
Yes, and again, and again. This book is a part of the Outlander series and probably one of my favorites. I love how Jamie and Claire and Roger and Bree come together as a family.
When Roger was hung and Claire had to tend to him.
Claire, as always.
Yes, I was very emotional during several parts of this book. Overall I think I laughed out loud and cried on several occassions.
"Great Audiobook"
A great listen.
When the miltia was camped out preparing to fight. The tension was so high you could literally feel it.
She is a great speaker and is able to change among characters brillantly.
Yes, if possible.
I recommend this to everyone!
