Amelia Peabody inherited two things from her father: a considerable fortune and an unbendable will. The first allowed her to indulge in her life's passion. Without the second, the mummy's curse would have made corpses of them all.

I enjoyed this audio book. The storyline was very intriguing but predictable. I didn't like the narrator. It seemed that she was sucking on a piece of candy durning the first half of the book and between the dramatic pauses I could hear her audibly inhale into the microphone. Towards the end of the last half of this book, I could hear in several different times where there were childern playing in the background of the recording. Very hard to keep the drama of a detective story when there are giggling children on the recording. I feel that this was unprofessional.

Bring back Marguerite Gavin! I totally loved the story but the narrator just ruined the book for me. All the miss pronounations of names and simple words was such a distraction. If there was a do-over I wouldn't have gotten thisaudio version, I would have bought the book.
