"Loved it!"
I liked the interaction of the characters. From playful banter to love scenes it was great. The Highland history woven through the story is fascinating. . Many people have compared this to Outlander and I say apples and oranges people. Outlander is a great book but reads more like a history lesson with a interesting romance thrown in, this book is more about people and their interaction with a little history thrown in. It's a tale of romance and if your looking for astory about two unique personalities who somehow manage to fall in love and some intrigue than this is your book.
"Dark, sensual fun"
I rate this one as a personal favorite.
Daegus is a tortured soul struggling to over come. This book is so superbly written that I found myself wanting to jump into it and become the heroine.
When Daegus makes love to Chloe the first time, wow! Best love scene ever!
I loved the rich fantasy of this book, it's like a mystical spell and I couldn't stop listen to the incredible Phil Gigante. I love how Ms.Moning makes strong female heroines and of course even stronger hero's. The great pull and tug of this story makes it heart warming. I found myself physically hungering for the next book and the next. I was sad when I had Listened to them all so I started all over again and again and again.
"Ughhhh the worst reader!"
I would recommend my friends read this book. Listening to it is torture.
I don't wish to be cruel as her performance of the female characters is flawless but the men come off as insepid and impotent. Her male performances were so bad that after an hour I had to stop listening. I wish I could get a refund!
Dispute the comments left by others about the performance I went ahead and purchased this. I wish I had heeded their advice. Buyer beware. Save your credits and buy the book.
"Snore"
I love Stephanie Lauren's books, especially her Cynster novels but this one was so boring that I quit half way through. To be honest I wasn't sure if it was the reader or the story. The reader was monotonous and deadpan.
"Yawn"
I love audio books, especially historical romances but this series is as dull as it gets. The narrator is boring and the story drags on so long that you lose interest before it finishes, *yawn*.
