I love history and romance. I read several books a month and I enjoy listening to books when I am doing other things. A good book can whisk you away to another time and place while a bad book is like a stomach ache.

Tristan MacGregor is famed throughout the Highlands as a silver-tongued seducer and an unrepentant rogue. Bold and charming, he’s dallied with many women, yet none as mysterious as the lass he steals a kiss from at king’s court. Little does he know this beauty is one of his clan’s greatest enemies.

What did you love best about Seduced by a Highlander?

I liked the interaction of the characters. From playful banter to love scenes it was great. The Highland history woven through the story is fascinating. . Many people have compared this to Outlander and I say apples and oranges people. Outlander is a great book but reads more like a history lesson with a interesting romance thrown in, this book is more about people and their interaction with a little history thrown in. It's a tale of romance and if your looking for astory about two unique personalities who somehow manage to fall in love and some intrigue than this is your book.

Where does The Dark Highlander rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I rate this one as a personal favorite.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Daegus is a tortured soul struggling to over come. This book is so superbly written that I found myself wanting to jump into it and become the heroine.

    Which scene was your favorite?

When Daegus makes love to Chloe the first time, wow! Best love scene ever!

    Any additional comments?

I loved the rich fantasy of this book, it's like a mystical spell and I couldn't stop listen to the incredible Phil Gigante. I love how Ms.Moning makes strong female heroines and of course even stronger hero's. The great pull and tug of this story makes it heart warming. I found myself physically hungering for the next book and the next. I was sad when I had Listened to them all so I started all over again and again and again.

Damien Knight, the earl of Winterley, is proud, aloof, and tormented by memories of war. Though living in seclusion, he is named guardian to a fellow officer's ward. Instead of the young homeless waif he was expecting, however, Miranda FitzHubert is a stunning, passionate beauty who invades his sanctuary and forces him back into society. Struggling to maintain honor and self-control, Damien now faces an even greater threat: desire.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I would recommend my friends read this book. Listening to it is torture.

Would you be willing to try another one of Emma Greene’s performances?

I don't wish to be cruel as her performance of the female characters is flawless but the men come off as insepid and impotent. Her male performances were so bad that after an hour I had to stop listening. I wish I could get a refund!

    Any additional comments?

Dispute the comments left by others about the performance I went ahead and purchased this. I wish I had heeded their advice. Buyer beware. Save your credits and buy the book.

When the Earl of Merton suddenly finds himself playing the knight in shining armor to a damsel in distress, he knows his days as a notorious rake are numbered. But though the lady seems grateful for his assistance, she flees the scene without revealing her name. And though past scandals and present dangers threaten his pursuit of the mysterious lady, he knows she is to be his destiny.

I love Stephanie Lauren's books, especially her Cynster novels but this one was so boring that I quit half way through. To be honest I wasn't sure if it was the reader or the story. The reader was monotonous and deadpan.

Only desperation could bring Duncan Pennethorne, the infamous Earl of Sheringford, back home after the spectacular scandal that had shocked even the jaded ton. Forced to wed in 15 days or be cut off without a penny, Duncan chooses the one woman in London in frantic need of a husband. A lie to an old flame forces Margaret Huxtable to accept the irresistible stranger's offer. But once she discovers who he really is, it's too late - she's already betrothed to the wickedly sensual rakehell.

I love audio books, especially historical romances but this series is as dull as it gets. The narrator is boring and the story drags on so long that you lose interest before it finishes, *yawn*.
