"Absolutely Unique and Endlessly Entertaining"
I have not been this entertained by a work of fiction in years. If anyone had told me it was possible to fuse dystopian cyberpunk with the entire spectrum of 80s culture, (from film, television and music, down to the minutia of Arcade and Atari gaming,) I would have thought them silly. If they suggested the further fusion of such revered nerd obsessions as Dungeons and Dragons, Monty Python and the music of Rush, I would most likely have regarded them as unhinged. Yet this delightful tale delivers all of this as well as a, surprisingly affecting, coming of age story. A sort of cosmic mash up of Neal Stephenson and John Hughes the story captivates from the very beginning and never flags all the way to its breathless climax. If any of the above strikes your interest, even if you are as skeptical as I, you should buy this book immediately. You will not be disappointed.
