Two sisters. Two voices. One Heart.

The mystery of "Magic Man." The wicked riff of "Barracuda." The sadness and beauty of "Alone." The raw energy of "Crazy On You." These songs, and so many more, are part of the fabric of American music. Heart, fronted by Ann and Nancy Wilson, has given fans everywhere classic, raw, and pure badass rock and roll for more than three decades. As the only sisters in rock who write their own music and play their own instruments, Ann and Nancy have always stood apart - certainly from their male counterparts but also from their female peers.

In 1992, Victor Bockris' celebrated biography was the first to recognize Richards' pivotal role in the legend of the Rolling Stones. Now that book on rock's most incredible survivor has been expanded. Here are the true facts behind Richards' battles with his demons: the women, the drugs and the love-hate relationship with Jagger. His struggle with heroin and his status as the rock star most likely to die in the 1970s. His scarcely believable rebirth as a family man in the 1980s. Illuminated with revealing quotes and thoughtful insights into the man behind the band that goes on forever.

I thought this might provide some different insight into Keith's life something I didn't get from Keith's autobiography, but in reality nothing is as good even if people contest some of the events and how exactly they happen it's so much better to hear a story from the person the stories about's account. go read life

This sweeping biography of Bruce Springsteen features in-depth interviews with family, band members, childhood friends, ex-girlfriends, and a poignant retrospective from the Boss himself. It’s Bruce as his many fans haven’t before seen him - the man behind the myth, describing his life and work in intimate, vivid detail.

started off pretty interesting, but I gotta say I almost wish I hadn't read it. It got dull in the middle and it to be honest painted Bruce in not the best light. He came off a bit arrogant and self obsessed. I honestly don't look and feel about him like I once did and in all honesty I feel I know nothing really about him and his mind and how his life was for him.

  • American Desperado: My Life - From Mafia Soldier to Cocaine Cowboy to Secret Government Asset

In 2008 veteran journalist Evan Wright, acclaimed for his New York Times best-selling book Generation Kill and co-writer of the Emmy-winning HBO series it spawned, began a series of conversations with super-criminal Jon Roberts, star of the fabulously successful documentary Cocaine Cowboys. Those conversations would last three years, during which time Wright came to realize that Roberts was much more than the de-facto “transportation chief” of the Medellin Cartel during the 1980s, much more than a facilitator of a national drug epidemic.

I do not know if all of this is true. I believe it is just for the simple fact that it's too brutal and too honest. Amazing and chilling insight into a criminal mind and all that goes with a criminal life. I had always been life so many intrigued by the world of the mafia and I do believe it's because Hollywood has glamorized and romanticized it. This book brought it down to earth and showed you the brutal truth about what a cold blooded violent institution the mafia and the people in it really are. This was the first book or movie or anything I'd ever been exposed to that basically humanized the mafia for what it really was and then basically dismissed it as the subject of this book grew past it. The insight into the mind and world of a violent murderer and how he became to be what he became was both fascinating and terrifying. I could not stop listening. I finished it and immediately began it over again.

Millions of people gazed at provocative images of her in magazine and billboard ads, as well as in features on the pages of Playboy and the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. if you love bio's and memoir's then this is one for you. I didn't know that much about her before I started listening to this book and was afraid it was going to be a lot of I'm a pretty girl my life is so hard feel bad for me, but it wasn't at all. She was very honest and open about her whole life and has really overcome quite a lot. She became a human and I suggest this book to anyone who think they may know about her and her life.
