The year is 1771. Claire Randall is still an outlander, out of place and out of time. But now she is linked by love to her only anchor: Jamie Fraser. They have crossed oceans and centuries to build a life together in North Carolina. But tensions, both ancient and recent, threaten members of their clan. Knowing that his wife has the gift of prophecy, James must believe Claire, though he would prefer not to. Claire has shared a dreadful truth: there will, without a doubt, be a war.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Fiery Cross to be better than the print version?

davina porter brings the characters alive for me in terms of accents and terms I wouldnt know how to prounouce such as gaelic terms or expressions used in the 1750's era. I have read and listened sometimes both but the writing is magical! The stories addictive! The written word and audio work together to make this series an adventure and a wonderful tale of family and love.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Fiery Cross?

several stories of intrigue, struggles, and love come to mind but the one that left me breathless -without doubt - the hanging !

    Which scene was your favorite?

    The wedding

If you could take any character from The Fiery Cross out to dinner, who would it be and why?

claire fraser! Have you ever been around two ER nurses when they get to talking shop?Have I got questions to ask!

    Any additional comments?

The Outlander series is addictive and so well written that each story comes alive. And one thing I have learned from Gabaldon's writing - you can't skip anything because you'll miss something important. Im a nurse and that aspect of the story of Claire is compelling. Her impressions of women's health issues of that time are thought provoking and imformative. I came in late on this series but I have enjoyed every single chapter and having them in print and audio has been very enjoyable- Worth every minute and every dime!

Where does Sophia: Vampires In America (Volume 4) rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I love this series and Sophia is no exception. This story is more about the characters coming together centering on Raphael as the leader but having read all the books I see where Sophia and her mate are important to the overall plot If you like vampires romance don't miss this series ! Looking forward to audible picking up the rest - narrator is great too I can't imagine anyone else speaking for cyn

What other book might you compare Sophia: Vampires In America (Volume 4) to and why?

D b Reynolds writing style is fast paced exciting and funny in places to relieve the tension - I think the author in this genre who is equally entertaining is Dianne Duvall

Have you listened to any of Traci Odom’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes she is awesome and makes the story come alive never get boring - can't imagine anyone else being Cynthia!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Loved it ! Have read twice and listened twice already!
