The pleasure of your company is requested at the wedding of Miss Eliza Cynster ... but not until she’s rescued from a daring abduction by the mostunexpected of heroes! Brazenly kidnapped from her sister Heather’s engagement ball, Eliza Cynster is spirited north to Edinburgh. Desperate and determined to escape, she seizes upon the first possible champion who happens along - gentleman scholar Jeremy Carling. Villains and rescues are a far cry from Jeremy’s expertise, yet he cannot abandon a damsel in distress. But danger lurks and hurdles abound in their race....

What could Stephanie Laurens have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

From the first book of the Cynster family, Devils Bride, the stories of the younger females is very tame and unimaginitive so unless she can come up with a better adventure I don't think anything can help this set of twins stories.

Would you be willing to try another one of Matthew Brenher’s performances?

sure, sometimes the performance has a lot to do with the story line

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

    just humdrum same old nothing.

    Any additional comments?

I usually lover her books but just not these.

The historic hotel in Boonsboro has endured war and peace, the changing of hands, and even rumored hauntings. Now it’s getting a major face-lift from the Montgomery brothers and their eccentric mother. As the architect in the family, Beckett’s social life consists mostly of talking shop over pizza and beer. But there’s another project he’s got his eye on: the girl he’s been waiting to kiss since he was sixteen.
