"Annoying reader"
Not Leonard's best, but this story was read so poorly It was hard not just give up on the book. Like most Leonard's stories, this one is fun with good characters and exiting plot.I will skip anything read by Mark Hammer in the future
"Disappointing Heinlein"
This Heinlein book started out good, but about one third of the way through, it changed into a really bad book. I make it a point to try to finish every book I start, and it was very difficult to grind on to the end. Usually I finish a book in a few days, but this one took a month.
"The only Heinlein I didn't enjoy"
This is the only of the Heinlein books that I have listened to that I didn't enjoy. About a third of the way through the story, there is a 30 minute diatribe, in which we hear Heinlein's views on the failure of capatalism in the western world. We also get to hear some of his views on morals. I think this added nothing to this book. Then the book gets back to the storyline for a couple hours , but then Heinlein feels the need to further bore us with another 30 - 40 minutes of the exact same stuff. Then at the end of the book we are offered more pap under " authors notes" repeating some of the same junk. I finish every book I start, but when it came to these "authors notes" I turned it off
"Poor ending"
This book was fairly good syfi until the last hour or so. The author then goes into religious rantings that detract from the rest of a good book.
"No more Tull, PLEASE"
I've listened to the entire series except for a couple which are not offered. This version of Sharpe's Trafalgar is only available "read by Tull". If I could have found another read by Frederick Davidson, I would have gladly erased this copy, and finished the book via Davidson.
"Cheesiest book of all time"
I don't know if this book qualifies as the cheesiest book of all time, but it certainly is the cheesiest book written by a "best selling author". It seems I only review books I dislike, but this book really pissed me off (sorry). "Cheesy"says it all.
"Terrible"
I don't get it. So many reviewers like this unimaginative book. It's just a bad rework of a good book, "The Count of Monte Cristo" This is the ONLY book that I could not bring myself to finish. I even started it over from the beginning to try and like this junk.
"Waste of a credit"
I started and quit on this 2 part book several times, before I finally suffered through to the merciful end. There are plenty of better syfy authors to choose from. DON'T waste your credit!
"Spider WHO"
Spider Robinson, ruined a story started by Heinlein. Don't waste your time, the spider is horrible.
"GOOD READ"
This is a good read, and i highly recommend it. But I'm not sure about the author, I think he's a Hack.
