Don't miss The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, soon to be a major motion picture, in theaters August 2013. Danger intensifies for the Shadowhunters as the New York Times best-selling Infernal Devices trilogy comes to a close. If the only way to save the world was to destroy what you loved most, would you do it? The clock is ticking. Everyone must choose. Passion. Power. Secrets. Enchantment. Danger closes in around the Shadowhunters in the final installment of the best-selling Infernal Devices trilogy.

What made the experience of listening to The Clockwork Princess the most enjoyable?

Daniel Sharman really made me feel the characters and I really liked the love triangle that was not a betrayal. It also gave me a little bit of where the Shadow Hunters came from in the Mortal Instruments series.

What other book might you compare The Clockwork Princess to and why?

I don't think there is another book to compare it to.

What does Daniel Sharman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Daniel Sharman really made me feel the emotions of the characters and connect with them.

    Any additional comments?

I wish Daniel Sharman would've narrated the other books in the series. He is awesome!

As the dark Lord who condemns souls to damnation in the Abyss, Micah is nothing but a feared monster wrapped in impenetrable black armor. He has no idea he is the last heir of Elden, its last hope. Only one woman knows: the daughter of his enemy.

The narrator has a wistle that I couldn't handle. It was so annoying I turned it off in the first chapter. I guess I'll by the actual book and read it.

  • City of Fallen Angels: The Mortal Instruments, Book 4

City of Fallen Angels take up where City of Glass left off. With Valentine out of the way, Clary thought she and Jace could finally be together--but when someone starts murdering the Shadowhunters who used to be in Valentine's Circle and leaving their bodies around New York City in a manner designed to destroy the new peace between Downworlders and Shadowhunters, she realizes the past can never be left entirely behind.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I had a hard time coming back to this one. I listened to a different book then tried this one again. I got through it but it was forced.

Would you ever listen to anything by Cassandra Clare again?

Yes. I just hope the next one is better and they get new narrators.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

I don't understand why there have been so many changes. I hated the narrator for the first book, loved the one for the second and third. Neither Ed Westwick nor Molly Quinn pronounced several words the same as the previous books. Stele, Idris and Amatis were the ones that annoyed me the most.

    Any additional comments?

The story just didn't seem right. I can't put my finger on it.
