I would suggest reading this book instead of listening to the audio version.
I would cast someone that could do a better job with women's voices. I would also prefer that the father did not sound like he was 95 years old.
i would suggest finding a narrator that can engage the listener. Sometimes authors are not the best narrators. In this case, the author comes across as pompous. Of the two narrators I preferred Lalla Ward.
I could not finish even a quarter of the book due the author's poor narration.
I doubt I would listen to another book by Diane Setterfield if the story is similar to The Thirteenth Tale.
The author needs to stop whining about twins and get on with the story.
This book was a drawn-out, painful listen.
