I wish that Scott Bricks had continued this series. His voice and expertise pulled me into the world of audiobooks. I agree with the previous reviews that Paul Boehmer does not sound as good as Scott Bricks but he is no slouch either... Having heard a few samples from other books (some of the sherlock holmes come to mind) I would have to say he does a fairly decent job. It would have been even better if the sequence of readers had been switched going from Paul and finishing with Scott.
The reader is great. I really enjoyed his voice thru the story. The story itself is fairly good. I could not put it down even when I knew who the "Boss- Janus" was. The book's events are not too predictable but a little over half way of the book I was able to tell who the mastermind was even though Mr. Brown tried to throw a couple of plot twist.
Having seen the previous reviews and having listened to this book myself I can only wonder what some of the reviewers are looking for in this book. This book is a Christian book. Plain and simple. It even states it in the description. It is meant for those who truly believe or are open about the idea of Christianity. The ideas provided by Rick Warren are insightful and if followed can provide happiness and satisfaction on your everyday life.
I tried reading the book before but I was not disciplined enough to followe it thru.. Now that it is in audiobook format I have been able to completed... Thanks
I have always been a fan of Terry Brooks. So I knew right away I would like the book. But what makes an audiobook a masterpiece is the quality of the reader and in this case I am not dissapointed. After the first few minutes I became a fan of Scott Bricks. He is easy to understand and know how to use all the secret of his trade to make this wonderful book exceptional.
