For centuries the Four Lands enjoyed freedom from its demon-haunted past, protected by magic-enhanced borders from the dark dimension known as the Forbidding and the profound evil imprisoned there. But now the unthinkable is happening: The ancient wards securing the barrier between order and mayhem have begun to erode - and generations of bloodthirsty, monstrous creatures, fueled by a rage thousands of years in the making, are poised to spill forth, seeking revenge for what was done to them.

Would you consider the audio edition of Witch Wraith to be better than the print version?

Yes, the print version was just moving too slow for me.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Yes, a review at the beginning of the book would have been helpful.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

Yes, narration was good, lots of description

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    Not really.

    Any additional comments?

Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy Terry Brooks books. This story was just a little slow for me. I started with the book and stopped. I had to start again with the audio and once it got going it really took off. Thats why I can give it a 4 overall.

For countless millennia, the dwarves of the Fifthling Kingdom have defended the stone gateway into Girdlegard. Many and varied foes have hurled themselves against the portal and died attempting to breach it. No man or beast has ever succeeded. Until now... Abandoned as a child, Tungdil the blacksmith labors contentedly in the Kingdom of Fifthling the only dwarf in a kingdom of men. Although he does not want for friends, Tungdil is very much aware that he is alone - indeed, he has not so much as set eyes on another dwarf. But all that is about to change.

If you could sum up The Dwarves in three words, what would they be?

    Detailed intruiquing storyline

Who was your favorite character and why?

    Tungdil. Consistency in character growth

What about Matthew Wolf’s performance did you like?

Voices were great and appropriate. Added to the excitement, suspense and humor of the novel.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, I wish I could have.

    Any additional comments?

I read and listen to several books at once, (same approx time frame) I hop from one to another because its take alot to hold my attention. This book was one that I had read several years ago and was excited to be able to have it on audio. It held my attention so much that I couldnt listen or read anything else until it was finished. The orignal book was written in German and translated to English. Even though I remembered the story line, the audio had me completely captivated. The reader helped with prononciation of several names and places that I had difficulty interpreting when I read the book. It really made a difference. There are 2 more books available in the series and I really hope these get recorded as well. If you're a fan of LOTR or Hobbit, you will enjoy. I loved it.
