The words and voice of a Master. What more could one want?
A wonderful work to disappear into. The dialogue and narration are superb. The characters are brought to life with great skill.
Some authors and narrators are born to it. This is as good as it gets.
Top of the shelf writing and narration.
Another brilliant combination between author and narrator.
A 1,000 ft. skyscraper is about to explode, and there is as much excitement generated as if toast was burning. Maybe the book reads well, but the narration and production is way below par, and spending at least tweny minutes of the story just reading computer numbers is not my idea of time well spent. I just wanted the guy to shut up and get on with the story. Why wouldn't Lincoln Child think of some other way of getting this part of his story across?
Brilliant interpretation by Colin Buchanan of a great story.
Why aren't all Audiobooks as classy as this? Wonderful writing, but above all, a five star interpretation by Colin Buchanan. If only some of the dreary, story wrecking narrators would listen to this guy. He is equally as good on all of the other Reginald Hill books in the catalogue.
A brilliantly written and performed work of England dealing with its war-time struggles. A master writer and satirist at work.
Utterly fantastic audio of this wonderful piece of writing. As good as it gets for me. Arte Johnson excels in the voice characterisations.
To be listenned to over and over again.
