This is my favorite of the Wallflower's book. I like Simon Hunt and Annabelle because of their passion. It's clear to the reader how much they like one another before they realizew it themselves. Other reviewers have criticized Annabelle's mercenary tendencies however, Annabelle's plot to marry for convenience is not unusual given the times.
Ok romances but not compelling. The conflict between the characters seemed somewhat lame. The reasons for the characters who loved each other almost immediately not coming together seemed a little unrealsitic. Something not modern about the stories. Seems like a romance that might have been published thirty or forty years ago.
The book's description concerning the plot is deceptive because it implies that the heroine knows about Alex's relationship with the married couple from the beginning. Interesting somewhat disturbing romance about accepting people for who and what they are to you without preconceived judgement given by society. Interesting but had to read more than once to understand all the nuances.
Interesting characters. Plot OK.
