This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Frankly, I found this book extremely boring! I found the first book of the series a bit slow, but this one, I couldn't get past the first 3 chapters

Would you ever listen to anything by Bryce Courtenay again?

    doubtful

What three words best describe Humphrey Bower’s voice?

    rich, saving grace

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

the narrator was the only thing that kept me listening as long as i did.

    Any additional comments?

a complete waste of a credit for me. I have tried to return it and have been unable to

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

A different narrator would have made such a difference!! I was stretched to even give the performance 1 star

What could Janet Evanovich have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

I have always enjoyed Stephanie Plum.. unfortunately this narrator made this book almost unlistenable

What didn’t you like about Lorelei King’s performance?

EVERYTHING... her diction .. her intonation.. her portrayal of the men was DREADFUL

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Top Secret Twenty-One?

    None.

    Any additional comments?

I have always enjoyed these books.. but i will never listen to another one if this narrator remains

It was just another after-work happy-hour bar downtown, where business professionals unwound with a few drinks, complained about the boss, maybe hooked up with someone for the night. Until something went terribly wrong. At first it was just a friction in the air. The noise intensified. The crowd seemed oppressive. Some sharp words were exchanged, some pushing and shoving. Then the madness descended. And after 12 minutes of chaos and violence, 80 people lay dead.

I love JD Robb and this series....but this book was disappointing. It lacked excitement and Dallas and Roarke lacked chemistry this time. This story had great potential.. but it wasn't fulfilled.

It is Nick and Amy Dunne's fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick's clever and beautiful wife disappears from their rented McMansion on the Mississippi River. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn't doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media - as well as Amy's fiercely doting parents - the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he's definitely bitter - but is he really a killer?

A love affair...between Matt Shaw, self-made property tycoon, and Eliza Clark, dazzling fashion editor and one-time Deb of the Year. Their story spans sixties London, the extravagance of Milan and the lovely decaying country house that has been in Eliza's family for generations, and the source of huge trouble itself.

what a great listen....I found myself looking for chores to do since that is when I listen to books on my iphone. Gripping emotions grab you from the beginning and hold you to the end.
The narrator does a great job voicing all of the characters with their different dialects and accents and timbres so that you have no trouble telling the difference between them. I strongly recommend this listen!

Like no other books about the war, Wouk's spellbinding narrative captures the tide of global events - and all the drama, romance, heroism, and tragedy of World War II - as it immerses us in the lives of a single American family drawn into the very center of the war's maelstrom.

Why we think it’s a great listen: The most celebrated performance in all of Audible’s history, The Help has nearly 2,000 5-star reviews from your fellow listeners. We hear the print book’s not bad, either. In pitch-perfect voices, Kathryn Stockett creates three extraordinary women whose determination to start a movement of their own forever changes a town, and the way women - mothers, daughters, caregivers, friends - view one another.
