I dont understand what happened to Noah. I hated everytime he called Kestra Baby or Babe. None of the other elders spoke that way & Noah never gave any clue in all the other books that he had that kind of vocabulary. I was disappointed. It made him sound too modern & not like him at all. I think Kestras constant fight against her fate was a bit over board & exasperating. I think the only reason I even finished the book was because I love ALL the other characters sooo much. I truly dont look forward to Adam because I really dont look forward to Jazmine either. Jazmine grates on my nerves. BUT I of course I will read it because of the other characters.
The book just ended awkwardly! I looked at reviews on Amazon & they said the last chapter is missing in audible. So now I don't know how it ended?! What the heck.
I won't bother with any of the others in the series. Especially if the endings are thus bad.
I never read the print version.
When she asked him to live in the trailer with her!!! OMG I WAS CRACKING UP!! There were so many more parts. To many to list!
He is AWESOME! I can think of dozens of books that I wish HE had narrated!
Yes I believe I would listen to it again.
I've read all the Daly Way books and this one is my favorite. I liked Jaime & Reyna's relationship & the fact that while he shared her with his friends in the end she belonged to only him. The characters were much more likable than in the other books.
This is my very favorite book of all the New Species!! Love Valiant!!! So Adorable!
Valiant is so tough on the outside but he is so vulnerable on the inside. Sooooo sweeet!
I really don't like the way the narrator does the male voices.
She makes the male voices sound ridiculous ! It's a shame cause I liked the story.
The female voices were fine but the male ones could of been better. They sounded so goofy.
I like the stories but now they changed narrators & this one is as bad as the first one. Mia the main character doesn't even sound like a 21 yr old modern girl would sound. The narrator runs all her sentences together. She doesn't pause enough between sentences & she doesn't make the men sound masculine enough. You can tell its a very mature woman just reading us a story. I have come to expect more from audio books.
A new narrator would make a huge difference. I liked the story but the narrator almost put me to sleep.
I loved Lords of the Underworld. I read them all but after reading this book I won't bother with any other books by Showalter. This one was terrible. I wish the narration was done by Max Bellmore! I think it would have made a big difference.
The narration of the male characters was very dull. The female voices were more expressive. The male voices all sound the same. I wish the narrator did the male voices better.
The story wasn't too bad. The characters were ok too.
