One of the deepest and yet very accessible books that I have ever heard. Since listening to it I have purchased the book and read it cover to cover. Superb.
Too many to mention. I believe each person who listens to this book will be moved and permanently changed.
He is very good. Reads quickly and clearly.
Loved the stories regarding Freud and Jung. Enlightening
A must read if you are interested in the core of our human being. This book absolutely deserved the Pulitzer Prize.
I would not only listen to the book again I would listen to it again and again. The nuggets of wisdom are so tightly packed that no minute goes by without seeing something that is worth meditating on.
Too many to mention. And I would also say that this is a very personal book that seems to change each time it is listened to or read.
Not my favorite but as I listened more I got used to the pacing and cadence of his voice.
Prayer is essential. Prayer is personal. Prayer is possible in each and every moment of our lives.
Be patient with the language of the book and you will be greatly rewarded.
I liked the meditations but I always had the feeling that something was missing. Perhaps it was the sound of her voice which is personal to me but I was not able to overcome the feeling.
I really like the idea of guided meditations yet I was slightly disappointed with the "canned" nature of the offerings.
I believe that these meditations can be extremely enlightening and helpful to anyone who is on a path of self discovery. I believe strongly that this sort of work is essential for inner growth and Ingerman does a more than adequate job inspire of my personal preferences.
Overall worth listening to many times especially when life has handed one a difficult experience.
Certainly I would listed to the Diamond Approach many more times as this is the sort of informations that expands with time. Each time I listen I hear something that I have never heard before and am amazed at the deep insights into human potential and functioning. Brilliant
no this was the first i have heard of him.
For me it was a book that I savored many times and would only listen to in short segments.
I would like to see more of the authors original books be available as the interview method of this book is good but not as fulfilling as a book the author has spent time developing his deepest thoughts and insights.
It is essential to listen to Man's Search many times. It is a true gold mine of human insight.
Yes his reading is perfect for the book. I do not believe I will tire of listening to book.
I have read the book many times before I listened to it and I find the material so rich I have no desire to listen to it at one sitting. I will say that I enjoyed the book from the first word to the last and will most likely listen to it a dozen more times.
Profound piece of writing.
I totally enjoyed listening to Odd John. It was extremely creative and extraordinarily well written. I believe Stapleton was well ahead of his time and that his works ought to have a revival as his topics are completely relevant today.
As the story was about Odd John I would have to say he was my favorite character. Stapleton created a completely unique individual that I believe most readers will be able to relate to on some level. Ingenious writing really.
Very good. He has a very pleasant sounding voice that I never tired of.
Far too long to listen to in one sitting but it held my complete interest all the way until the end.
Enjoyable...this is what listening to books is all about. A total pleasure.
One of my all time favorites. Though I have read several of Hillman's books I had never fully appreciated the "man" Hillman was until I completed this beautifully written biography. I hated when I completed the audiobook, as it was as though Hillman was fully alive and present with me the entire time. This is a must listen to book if one is at all interested in the twists and turns of life and how these twists and turns help shape each day we live. For me Hillman was a true genius and should be required reading for anyone who wants to answer the question of "who am I".
I would compare this book to any GREAT biography that I have been moved by. I experience each life so individualistic that comparisons are difficult but I have read biographies of Freud, Jung, Gandhi, ML King, Meher Baba, Yogananda, T. Roosevelt, and many more and Hillman's is one of my favorites thus far.
I enjoyed his reading as it was neither too slow or too fast. A plesant voice with clear enunciation. I never tired of the sound of his reading.
My extreme reaction was that I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it. Hillman was a truly fascinating man.
One of my favorites. Jung is a true mystic and scientist. His words are as relevant today as they were 80 years ago. This is a must for anyone interested in the state of Modern Man (and I absolutely mean everyone who is interested in TODAY)
I would suggest reading James Hillman a man of true insight.
I suggest that this book is worth listening to at least twice as it is so full of wisdom.
I enjoyed every minute of it. I listened to the book several times as it is not an easy book to comprehend in just one reading.
Tillich is deep and is worth spending a great deal of time investigating. This is a timeless piece of true psychological and philosophical thought.
His voice was pleasant and easy to listen to as I re-listened to the book several times.
Absolutely recommended. This is one of the clearest and best written books for the lay person. Excellent in all ways.
I loved Singer's description of the interior voice that haunts us all. I also loved his explanation of how to deal with the annoying voice.
This is a book that can be read by young and old. Something for everybody including all of you who think that you know everything already...
